Great results as hoped and expected but there is one small downside that I will mention later, if other holders have not noticed it. This should fly again imo. Good Luck and good trading.

Blast, more bloody dividend money to spend :-)

I notice the revenues are up but if it weren't for one off payments like Steve Garvey and office updates the EPS would be at a record once more.

Now no "Tesco value" curries anymore.

Yes, excellent results and better than expected.

Dividend of 3p equates to nearly 8% return at current 38.5p share price

More than happy that I've been accumulating these in recent months.

I'd been watching SGI with a view to buying but missed the move, will keep watching to see if it's tradeable , wonder if there a predator in the wings ?

Fair point ... AEO seems to be a battleground between long termers and traders with an eye for the next opportunity and metrics count for nowt just the graph

It is not paranoia ramas, it is just fair comment and provides something for a few posters to consider if they are in profit and adverse to risk.

Better a profit in hand than living in hope if there is any doubt in your mind I guess.

The upside from here upon results I would not now expect to be more than 50/55, the downside before support could be in the region 20/25 maybe.

True but this is still a small business not a huge job siloed organisation like IBM . I suspect in AEO the FD might well be needed at times in a management accountant capacity. Business is seasonal in media so I think it could be quite reasonable for AEO to be in a busy period especially from the last trading statement. I did see AEO do have a new business director now. I must admit I was hoping for more reporting consistency as it does lead to degrees of paranoia as we witness now.

As a listed company financial reporting is the most important routine and if they are set up correctly in accountancy terms this should be very very simple to produce, monthly management reports, to quarterly reports etc etc should be there for all to see.The tender process certainly won't be undertaken by the FD or finacial controller.

More likely waiting for a contract to try to say something positive if the bottom line results are not the £350k plus that we were expecting. With no news for so long, it does cast a lot of doubts as to the bottom line imo.

I was thinking similar , frustrating thought it is officially they have till December .... Eeeek. But with limited resources what comes first timely reporting or completing bids , new business etc ? Time will tell. This might cause some hot money to depart in the meantime. I am now hoping for this Friday
