As soon as lord santafe or Stephen buys a stock he multiplies the price
the stock should be by 5/10/a million !

But he will dump in less than a hour or maybe he will hold for a day if
you are lucky !

I'm still waiting for one sensible comment from him in say 5 years of
his posts !

(Broadcasting & Cable) _ Verizon is expanding the "up-close and personal" promotion of its FiOS video/broadband service.

The company hired Adwalkers to work a recent garden show in Richmond. Adwalkers are people hired to walk around in public places wearing video screens and talling up the product they are advertising. In this case, the product was the new FiOS service.

FiOS has secured a number of franchises in Virginia--where the garden show was held-- but the company is expanding to California. California has a state video franchise relief law which has paved the way for new video franchises.

Verizon has decided to use the same mobile marketers at the Long Beach Grand Prix April 13-15 and the Long Beach Computer Show April 27-29.

Adwalk, Don't Run
An on-screen screen plug for a company whose business is plugging things onscreen? That is either the sign of the media apocalypse or just another step down the road to the ultimate melding of marketing and messenger.

Adwalker makes its debut on prime time network TV in an episode of NBC's Apprentice, where would-be apprentices walk around advertising stuff, which is what marketing company Adwalker does.

Adwalkers have been likened, at least in its press release, to "human Teletubbies," or "brand-ambassadors," to put a pleasanter point on it, who are equipped with high-resolution video screens, front and back, to carry the ad message. They are also equipped with affable personalities, I'm told, to engage passersby.

Adwalker has had quite a run on NBC Universal outlets, according to AdWalker, including being used to plug Today at the 2006 upfront, plugging prime time for Telemundo, and promoting a local sports show on NBC-owned KNBC.

ADWALKER DIGITAL MUSIC SURVEY RESULTS
Huge Market for Digital Music Sales beyond the PC

The Board of Adwalker, the AIM-listed specialist in wearable media solutions, is pleased to announce that results from a survey conducted by the Company show that consumers are willing to buy digital music in out-of-home locations and pay a premium for it.
In January 2007 Adwalker conducted research across the USA, UK and Ireland in various locations including Airports and Shopping Malls. The purpose of the research was to ascertain the consumer appetite for music/film downloads in an out of home environment. Results showed the following:

71% of respondents would pay for music downloads at Airports or Shopping Malls, using the Adwalker Music Download service;
76% would pay for music downloads at Music Concerts, using the Adwalker Music Download service;
The young had a higher propensity to pay for their music than the older users of mp3 players, with 84% of all under 16 year olds wiling to pay for their music in these locations;
Consumers are willing to pay a greater price for their music from sales at unique locations. 32% said they would pay £15/€15/€15 for a digital music download in Shopping Malls, Airports or other out-of-home locations; and
70% said they would use the service to download films as well as music.
Adwalker's wearable digital unit enables music downloads directly to any MP3 player.

Commenting on the research Simon Crisp CEO said: "This research lends some fascinating insight into the world of music download. Steve Jobs, Co-founder and CEO of Apple, recently commented that Apple would support the abolishment of DRM and "that any player can play music purchased from any store".

"Our research backs up the opinion that consumers will pay for music if you present digital content in the right locations using the most compelling distribution methods such as the Adwalker mobile music download service."continued...

Adwalker seeks download deal with eMusic

18 February 2007 By David Clerkin
Adwalker, the AIM-quoted Irish firm that makes electronic sandwich boards, is in talks with eMusic, the world's number two music download service after Apple's iTunes, to allow on-the-spot downloads from its units.

The company is expected to sign a deal this week that will allow owners of iPods or other music devices to download songs through the electronic equipment used by Adwalker agents.

Adwalker generates the bulk of its revenues through advertising on its sandwich boards, which are displayed by agents in public locations with high footfall, such as shopping centres, airports and railways stations.

The eMusic deal will open up a new revenue stream as it will allow both companies to share revenues for tracks downloaded and paid for by credit card through Adwalker agents.

eMusic has a catalogue of more than two million songs, but differs from iTunes as it offers subscription packages instead of a pay-per-track service. The company concentrates on independent recording labels and its most popular downloads feature heavyweight independent artists such as the White Stripes and the Raconteurs.

It launched in Europe last September, and has already signed up more than 200,000 US users.
