05/12/2003 19:19 | mtrace, what's the name of the thread? | exotic
04/12/2003 20:00 | I am reposting these to another thread...hopefully something will be done soon.. | mtrace
03/12/2003 18:01 | Regarding trades: Since the actual time of trade is known even for delayed reported trades, we are left to correlate the trades against the chart to see which were really buys/sells. IMHO it wouldn't be too hard for ADVFN to use existing data to supply a more accurate buy/sell indication for delayed trades. My main reason for seeking this thread: Streaming is disabled after 1730. Could you please extend this to include charts as well? There is no reason for charts to keep refreshing once the market is closed. Not sure if the bandwidth savings are in ADVFN's interest, but please spare a thought for 56K users. It's especially annoying when you're viewing a chart at the end of the day, attempting to correlate all the delayed buy/sell data! haha! Seriously though, I always resort to pasting chart image's URL directly into the browser to avoid it refreshing. It would be better for everyone if it was fixed. Thanks! :) | exotic

28/11/2003 12:56 | Agree all the way. Long overdue for the "buy/sell" guesses to be revised, possibly leaving in only the MM trades and AT. If the "O" trades have little or no effect on the price, why show them? Sometimes one's own trade appears in the wrong column, so the chances of this happening all the time are obviously high. The small proviso at the bottom of page should have been in large writing AT THE TOP. But a complete revisal of this page, at which most people (especially those new to the site)look impulsively (I do), is required in my opinion. | ramillar
28/11/2003 12:02 | (repost from another thread).. The best thing that can be done is to email advfn and ask/demand an option to filter out everything but the AT trades (or other trade type criteria) + allow you to download that data for the day. Otherwise it is useless and will never get done. The way it is right now it is only one thing: DANGEROUS and deliberately misleading at worst. A few select statements against that db there shouldn't be more than a day's work ..and ability to download it. And make the AT default with warning for late reporting of O type... | mtrace
28/11/2003 12:02 | It turns out there are a lot of people misled with tabs/features on ADVFN and some stuff that is not being addressed... I guess ADVFN customers are not paying for this convenience.. Take it away but first the one that ought to be warned about is Trades lists...funny how many people act on it. | mtrace
