‘#ADVT the new software vehicle for serial tech entrepreneur Vin Murria has reported H1 23 EBITDA ahead of management expectations - FY25 will also be better than hoped. Cash at the year-end was £78.7m & a number of new substantial contracts have been secured. #progress #update’

Progressing well and ahead of expectations.

—-

"In the short time since we acquired the Capita businesses, we have made very good progress with their operational performance which has improved markedly.

After changing the financial year end to February, we concluded the remaining two months of the year and have started the new financial year well, securing a number of multi-million pound contracts.

We remain optimistic about the opportunities for organic and acquisitive growth ahead.”

“We have secured a number of substantial contracts and renewals which means that performance for the 12 months ending 28 February 2025 is expected to be ahead of Board expectations.”

"There's 75p still sitting in shares and cash so potentially they can be part of decent deals. If you get to 10 or 12 times EBITDA on what they've bought, that would take you to 150 to 165p." - from 10:14

Should also hopefully get an indication of trading beyond the initial six months:

“We’ll publish our six months to 31st December in March ‘24 and then our eight months to 29th February ‘24 to be published early summer. But what we’ll do is when we put out the notes for March, we will give you a good sense of what the eight months looks like so you can get a pretty good sense of where we are very, very quickly.”

...82.04% held by Vin and quality institutions. Leaves just 17.96% for everyone else.

Thanks gleach, I missed that for some reason, but from the last business webcast deduced it must be this week.

Should be having an update this coming week? I'd imagine things to be relatively flat or at 32m rev. EBIT 5.2m ball park, kind of setting the base line, but from this point going forwards, next report should be early summer - post June. We should expect to see the start of financial improvements on the core businesses due to synergies, possibly the start of cross selling and or uptake in services supplied to end customers and pricing increases - pricing is something being addressed now.

Also, should start to see analyst coverage and projections.

The next big drivers are likely to be news flow WRT 'small' infill acquisitions and or strategic bolt-ons, would expect some news flow here over the next six months.

Over the next year - from this Feb. 24 to Feb. 25 I'd expect to see an acceleration in financial metrics around revenue increases and importantly margins.

Further out - 12 to 18 months, the possibility of a larger transformational deal ( go big or go home ) may occur - no guarantees on that at present, but seems to be on VM's forward aspirations.

IMO

Roughly, 59m for the enterprise.
100m in cash/assets, including Saatchi stake - does sound like they'll offload that at an appropriate time.

The business is currently a minnow - but of importance is that it is circa 80% held by institutions - suggests high belief in VM's track record to deliver.

Some telling comments from VM in recent webcast about enterprise size - which is important when it comes to share price accretion via institutional backing. She acknowledges size and the strategy they'll embark upon to grow, although that will include 3 - 5m size 'infill' bolt-ons, she does comment that further down the road they are 'possibly' looking at a sizeable deal - which may or may not come to fruition. "We need to go big".

Whilst careful with her words, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out with what she clearly has in mind - although still early days.

She is experienced in public markets and knows the importance regarding institutions of enterprise market sizing.

Meanwhile, they are getting on with running the business they have and increasing shareholder value via financially growing current assets.

Experienced team doing their 'bread and butter' stuff with a pedigree track record, it'll be interesting to watch the journey. Still not expensive buying in here IMO.

Wow what an interesting chart.

It looks like they should be moved over to the main board, dividend paying and a decent market cap.

This looks interesting.

Out of interest, a question for those of you who are familiar with VM's previous companies. Did they ever pay dividends?

Worth phoning them. Can't see how it is a non-standard instrument. Maybe when it was a SPAC before it had any investments, but not now. They probably just haven't got round to updating its status.

ii wouldn't let me buy as it is seen as a non standard instrument - unless I fill out a form. Tedious.

There is a small mention in Sharewatch that ADVT will be profiled imminently in future bulletines and that it thinks that the shares are a BUY.

The investment is basically in cash and her/the mgt team

In a bull market this could go balistic like multibag

Sfor was a bet in cash + Martin sorrel and it went balistic ..
