12/3/2023 11:21 | Let's hope our cash was not in svb .lets hope it was spread between many banks !if it was in svb lets hope it was withdrawn weeks ago when the problems became obvious . | haroldthegreat
17/2/2023 17:40 | Cousin Jack and others thought the same in January last year when ADVT bought its stake in SAA at 200p as a precursor to the bid. Makes sense to buy at the lows, but doesn’t always happen that way. —- Cousin Jack5 Jan '22 - 14:34 - 185 of 414 “It was a reasonable assumption that the delay in investing until now was to ensure a good strategic fit and avoid overpaying. Hence it’s hard to understand this purchase given that VM clearly knows SAA well and the shares could have been bought at up to 150p as recently as a month ago. Hopefully there is something about this that I am not seeing !” | x54v
17/2/2023 17:09 | It would be nice to think so but I would have thought that if anyone was going to make an approach, the time to do it was when SAA was clearly in play and the share price was 150p | stemis
17/2/2023 14:40 | SAA above 200p now. Very strong momentum there. Another bid on the way? | x54v
16/2/2023 18:24 | “We believe that our strong cash position, the current economic downturn combined with our disciplined and patient approach, will put us in a prime position to execute on our strategy.” 4 months now since this statement. Come on Vin, get a move on! | x54v
16/2/2023 18:20 | Yes, not a great performance given what she has achieved in the past. And I’m sure most expected a lot more. But at the current share price there is value. Either she sells off the SAA shares and returns 95.5p cash to shareholders, or she finally acquires another company and starts out once more growing a much larger business and making shareholders serious money in the process. Worth remembering that her own money is tied up here too and she’s currently sitting with a 20% loss on the £17.5 million she invested. So no doubt she is feeling frustrated too. It’s been a few months now since the offer for SAA lapsed so hopefully something is just round the corner. | x54v
16/2/2023 17:59 | Must admit I'm getting pretty fed up with ADVT. Vin murria promised so much initially and so far, nearly 2 years in, all we have is a botched takeover attempt. The last 2 years have been prime time for finding undervalued tech firms with potential and she's done nothing. Not impressed | jans3
16/2/2023 17:21 | SAA share price continuing to show strong momentum and closing on the day at 193p. Very close now to ADVT's 200p entry point. ADVT's NAV now around 95.5p. Good value here at 80p with SAA continuing to rise and the chance of an acquisition. | x54v
08/2/2023 09:21 | Interesting to see SAA announcing "its new strategy, accelerating high-margin, digitally led growth." Basically what Vin Murria had suggested that it should be doing a year ago when she put her bid forward. "The Board believes the enlarged group would be well-positioned to take advantage of the structural changes arising from an acceleration of digitalisation" "The merger, combined with a focus on a data, analytics and digital creative marketing strategy plus M&A, would enable the enlarged group to capitalise on the heightened opportunity to 'navigate, create and lead meaningful change' whilst guiding companies on their new digital journey." | x54v
08/2/2023 09:09 | At this rate might even make a profit on our holding | stemis
08/2/2023 08:17 | Positive news today at SAA being taken well so far and helping drive the price up there. ADVT holds 12 million SAA shares so will benefit nicely from the uplift there. Just need Vin Murria to make a move now with an acquisition. | x54v
25/1/2023 18:15 | SAA chart looks pretty positive as it's curving up. I'd welcome 200p bid or no bid! | kfr20
23/1/2023 14:45 | SAA share price showing recent strength and helping increase the ADVT NAV. | x54v
06/1/2023 16:25 | A very impressive holding. 17.5 million shares originally bought at 100p. Very rare to see that level of committment by a director. £17.5 million is a significant cash outlay. | x54v
06/1/2023 11:35 | My interpretation too. The necessary 30 days have elapsed between transactions. | colinroberts
06/1/2023 10:05 | Perhaps she wanted to realise a loss on paper for tax purposes. Selling them to her husband would realise a paper loss. But buying them back again would ensure that she still had her original personal shareholding. | x54v
06/1/2023 10:00 | spot on... | colinroberts
06/1/2023 09:54 | Good guess. | x54v
04/1/2023 16:16 | Two large trades. Vin Murria’s husband selling the shares back to her again? | x54v
30/11/2022 17:07 | Yes, sold to her husband and the same combined family holding. Redistribution prior to an impending deal? | x54v
30/11/2022 15:57 | Bizarre! Anyone have any views? To sell 65% of her holding down at a c18% discount without any explanation. Who is the new holder; who is now in charge? Ahh - silly me - didn't read on ..... just shuffling the chairs around the family dinner table. | skyship
30/11/2022 13:24 | And there's the explanation: | x54v
29/11/2022 10:35 | A couple of very large trades just there. | x54v
07/11/2022 15:11 | "We are now seeing acquisition valuations falling against the macro-economic backdrop and are in a strong position with a pipeline of opportunities and GBP104m of cash to support our strategy." "We believe that our strong cash position, the current economic downturn combined with our disciplined and patient approach, will put us in a prime position to execute on our strategy." | x54v |
