21/10/2021 16:48 | Is Beechinor still at the helm please guys? | gswredland
21/10/2021 16:28 | Fortunately I have a small exposure here - now reduced to a nominal amount. As mentioned previously the clue was probably the simultaneous departure of a NED and the CFO in the summer - two of the key people in providing governance. I agree this is unlikely to be just volatility even though this stock does swing significantly. For the moment I am prepared to give the Board the benefit of the doubt but I am not holding my breath. | boozey
21/10/2021 16:28 | Reality finally coming home to this over priced stock | owenski
21/10/2021 16:07 | Something seriously wrong here now, I’m expecting results to reveal the problem. | wanttowin
20/10/2021 23:46 | I thought results had been due today? | boozey
04/10/2021 11:59 | I'm not seeing any conspiracies. Made another small top-up at 111.5p | cordwainer
01/10/2021 16:00 | Fair point Boozey and if my memory serves correctly, ( apart from Morrisons share purchase last year which I suspect has been sold ) not a single director has bought any shares in the last 5 years! Hardly instills confidence and I have the growing feeling I've been throwing good money after bad here.Alas no choice now but to wait for news next week. | wanttowin
01/10/2021 14:59 | Smartspace has always been a volatile stock, like many AIM companies. However it is worrying that this fall is so significant the week before results. I always worry when a CFO leaves and what was striking about the departure of Bruce Morrison is that he left just 6 months after buying a significant amount of shares which on face value gave him a lot of skin in the game with Smartspace. It struck me as odd - why would he do that? I wonder if he has sold since. Next week we will find out if this is all conspiracy or whether there is more to events in the last few months than meets the eye. I have a small holding. | boozey
01/10/2021 12:25 | Looks like we are going back to a quid..what a crock this has been for the last 3 months, down nigh on 35% ? | wanttowin
30/9/2021 17:10 | People are going back to the office, midweek can be quite busy in the City. More average companies will take longer to go back | ade45
30/9/2021 15:53 | I sold out 3-9-21 after 9 months just not enough going on for my liking, good company but seems to be lack of any news to keep people interested. London seems really quite as the norm now is WFH, made me think about the shares etc Will come back another day, good luck to all. | charlie9038
30/9/2021 15:40 | I might top up when the MM's decide to start earning their money. At circa 5.5% spread I don't see why I should take such a big haircut. | cordwainer

30/9/2021 13:52 | The market may be waiting for confirmation that admin expenses are under control, which the last trading update did not provide; i.e. that forward revenue growth can easily outpace overheads including staffing and contractors. But it did show revenues and average revenue per user on the up and the current FY will be without the drag of the loss-making SmartSpace Global (SG) sold in August 2020. Better comparative headline numbers should start to emerge at next interims and annuals. The drop in revenue, higher gross margin, higher expenses of last annuals are I suspect also an element of learning curve though and not just SG exceptionals. | cordwainer
30/9/2021 13:30 | this share is good but frustrating in that it goes up for a period and goes back where it was - I wish I could have taken some profits many times but know this is impossible! | ali47fish
30/9/2021 12:59 | Thanks Cord Mm's playing games | gswredland
30/9/2021 12:21 | hardly any trades either, published spread too wide. Last year's interim report was 6 October btw. | cordwainer
29/9/2021 14:52 | I've added again, just can't make sense of this fall. Perhaps some numbers would help. | wanttowin
23/9/2021 16:46 | 'In addition, the remuneration committee has decided to extend the performance period relating to a total of 351,441 existing options previously granted to Frank Beechinor and Guy van Zwanenberg which are expected to lapse in October 2021 due to the share price performance criteria not being achieved (the "Existing Options").' What does governance actually mean ? | xxx
23/9/2021 13:31 | Just bought 15k | nico115
23/9/2021 12:08 | Ridiculous 10p dip on pathetic volume, I've added a few and will be watching closely for more ! | wanttowin
14/9/2021 17:10 | Part of that seems to have been taken from the Midas tip | gswredland
13/9/2021 19:42 | GHF posted this on Twitter today, hope he doesn't mind me sharing it here. Probably explains todays tick up. The CEO seems very positive ! | wanttowin
03/9/2021 16:57 | Positive news since the last time the share price was at these levels probably means it won't languish back in this range forever. The new sales channels are important for product visibility and availability and being easier to find, and especially with the extra resources behind each reseller. Positive experiences with good quality, well integrated products demonstrating transformative ease of use and efficiency can however build transformative momentum for SMRT revenues, through SMRT customers sharing those experiences with their customers and business partners. Having been tipped as a buy at 145p back in May, I've just added a few at 139.75p, albeit a little hesitantly given the recent downtrend, despite having done a little trading of the 130-140 range earlier this year. The embedded references in last months update to covid, a focus on higher value customers (lumpier forward sales?) and an admittance of some churn among lower value customers are slim pickings for a flat to negative view imho. I can't find anything there that isn't heading in the right direction. And the airline catering / hospitality GateGroup win clearly shows the legacy image of being a purely office related play needs to be re-evaluated for a broader serviceable obtainable market, and it's nice to know that the SaaS model should give a relatively smooth ride for future revenues. | cordwainer |
