25/9/2007 12:44 | Garth, Thanks for the tip - I dipped in this morning. It strikes me that people can use these redundant threads for almost private conversations! Regards, AW | awilson
24/9/2007 07:17 | AW, I have not yet found a share I like as much as I liked SMRT. In some ways IGP is the closest investment I hold in terms of sector. INN would be closer still. The question for both is profitability. INN look way off still and with a market cap that is too high for me to be interested at present. But they are directly exposed to ITSO ticketing. In different markets SVR, CRPR and CAR are now my key investments. DYS is a second liner at present. Got to dash. Kind regards, G. | garth
23/9/2007 22:04 | Garth, We were robbed! What do you consider to be the best alternative? Regards, AW | awilson
22/9/2007 20:43 | ITSO Travel cards for the elderly... What a suprise! ;0) G. | garth

08/8/2007 16:47 | Any idea on when we get paid? | davebowler
18/7/2007 15:54 | ....and we knew it at the time Garth, not just a hindsight comment either I suggest. I still believe all they required was a wad of cash and they were well on their way, the way the market was shaping up for us. What do you think of this re-listing some time down the road at a much inflated price? I'm now going to have a seat and a few cups/glases of something to pull my remaining folicles out in this lovely sunshine. | mistertibbs
18/7/2007 07:52 | From the 16th July statement: "Mike Eastham, ITSO General Manager stated: "The amount of activity in our market has increased dramatically during the past few months. ITSO Smartcard Schemes are starting up and expanding all over England, Wales and Scotland and the potential arrival of enhanced concessionary travel schemes will drive demand still further. " In other words, with ITSO staring a dramatic increase in growth and Hitachi production close - we woz robbed..... G. | garth
18/7/2007 07:46 | Trust ADVFN to summarise the order news as 20,000 smartcards, rather than 20,000 card readers! | bowlhead

05/7/2007 10:54 | longshanks - I think if you remain as a minority shareholder it can be quite difficult to sell your shares if the company is private - philjeans on the medicsight MDST bb has just posted a comment about it - might be worth your asking him. | theo13
02/7/2007 16:03 | I've had an email from my online broker asking for written confirmation as to whether I want to accept the offer. If I don't will I still have to sell the shares when the offer goes unconditional - or is it possible to remain a minority holder? If not is there any benefit me writing to confirm acceptance - if I have to sell anyway. | longshanks
01/7/2007 12:39 | phil - If SFT is in rise mode, wouldn't it be safer to sell SMRT now and get in - or perhaps hedge your bet with half? Just a thought - no advice intended. | boadicea
29/6/2007 16:25 | SFT still has amazing growth potential; in for a wedge there - waiting patiently for my 7.25p to bag some more. | philjeans
29/6/2007 14:11 | Returned from holiday today to see the news. Mixed views as others have expressed as I had hoped to see it grow for a year or two. However, the profit has been a relatively quick one since picking them up, mainly between 2.7 and 4.4p last year. Many thanks to Garth for his exhaustive research which inspired my confidence to invest. I just looked at SFT for a possible top up using some of my SMRT profit only to find that it has jumped by over 50% from the lows of February and by 33% over the past few weeks. I will also look at CRPR and DTE as suggested by Garth and/or other contributors above. | boadicea
29/6/2007 10:12 | I too was in for the long term and am disappointed, but thanks again Garth. No doubting we'll be "seeing each other" soon on another Board | peterblok
28/6/2007 08:09 | Can I add my thanks and appreciation, Garth. Good luck with wherever you put your profits. | mathematic
27/6/2007 17:30 | Yes thanks Garth for all your hard work and diligence. If you get a chance check out LOQ. No investment advice offered of course! spud | spud |
