08/1/2018 16:21 | Igbert; superficial tumors only, then the next stage is accelerating the proton energy to penetrate deeper tissue and obtain clinical approval. However the point is it will be a working LIGHT system it is then a question of accelerating the proton beam further which has already been reported as being de risked as it is already proven in other applications. IMO from treating superficial tumors the company will then accelerate a good order book. Harley Street is almost immaterial, it will be a showcase demonstrating that LIGHT can be located anywhere and of course it will have a further effect on the share price. | makeamillion1
08/1/2018 16:08 | Errr... where do you think thy'll be treating these cancers in under 9 months? Harley Street certainly won't be open by then! | igbertsponk
08/1/2018 15:49 | Daijavu I would suggest you move on otherwise you could be heading for a breakdown, it is unfortunate you seem to have lost a lot of money. Timing is everything in a small company there are always in every early start company hurdles and time lines that change. The BOD directors will know that only to well I would suspect they are also nursing heavy losses especially the chairman. As you will notice most of the board consistently took up open offers at significantly higher prices than now. They have continued to heavily invest along with some very long standing shareholders / investors. The company today is fundamentally in a completely different position than at anytime previously hence why all major investors and the BOD have invested further. They are certainly not "strapped for cash" and they are not just talking to new investors as it looks to me looking at the major shareholders list they have all stayed on board and increased their shareholdings. There is enough cash available now to bring Light to market. In under 9 months we will have LIGHT treating superficial cancers, that is a very short time away and if you think for one moment our Chinese partners have not done sufficient due diligence prior to agreeing such a significant loan to partner with the company then you have probably already had your breakdown. IMHO this is one of the most exciting AIM stocks for 2018 and I am expecting significant increases in the share price as we close in on treating superficial tumors September 2018. It is also great to see so much press around proton therapy especially as LIGHT will cost a fraction of anything else available in the world. | makeamillion1
08/1/2018 14:51 | I have been investing successfully in shares for many years and following and investing in AVO for several years. At one time there were many who had the attitude to AVO that you have. They all lost money. The recent RNS is a cut and paste of one that was issued a couple of years ago when AVO was adamant that LIGHT was on track. A position they maintained until long after it was obvious that it was way behind schedule. In the meantime they lost all their Chinese contracts and their Chinese representatives and had to repay every penny that China had paid. All that has changed is that we are now a couple of years down the track, AVO is still strapped for cash and is telling the same story to a new bunch of investors. The reality is that AVO is a story company, a jam tomorrow company. It currently has nothing to sell and is not earning a penny. Nevertheless, I think the possibilities of LIGHT still look attractive and I am taking a chance with a small punt that the AVO BoD might not be misleading investors this time and AVO might survive long enough to generate a cash flow and make a profit. In the meantime, the share price will be volatile and the chart means nothing so can be ignored. | daijavu
08/1/2018 10:25 | Not a fool I'm sure but a negative outlook. | paul_98
08/1/2018 09:04 | Paul98 Right you are! Must be sad for this fool to see the share price today.-......more to come! | baner
08/1/2018 08:43 | Baner: I would simply ignore it. | paul_98
08/1/2018 06:23 | Daijavu I think you are a ”lost case”. Good luck. | baner
08/1/2018 00:13 | The current signs are absolutely superb. Let's see. | paul_98
07/1/2018 23:59 | paul I refer to AVO's past to illustrate the fact that the BoD have a record of poor judgement. Otherwise, like you, I look to the future. The difference between us is that I temper my hopes with the knowledge the BoD is unreliable. I am taking a small gamble that AVO will survive but I would not be surprised if AVO either goes into liquidation or is bought out soon after LIGHT is ready for production. | daijavu
07/1/2018 20:57 | Some dwell upon the past, I look forward to the future and much more stability here. People make errors? It's about rectifying them and moving on. They clearly are. I see a good few months ahead. | paul_98
07/1/2018 11:48 | Baner,TBF to Daijavu,it is important to be dispassionate and objective when assessing the merits of any investment in the secondary market. If you are buying shares direct from the company, you can allow charitable feelings towards cancer sufferers to sway your judgement. | shakyhands
07/1/2018 11:09 | Daijavu You are a terribly bad analyst - it is the future that is of interest for investors, not your highly emotional views on the past. And the future is extremely interesting and positive for AVO and its shareholders. Thus also for a huge number of poor cancer sufferors who, thanks to AVO and its supportive investors, will see their chances of getting an efficient treatment significantly enhanced. | baner
07/1/2018 09:26 | Daijavu, what desperate measures to raise cash are you referring to and where have they spent money recklessly? | andrewsr
07/1/2018 08:35 | Of course they've not made money yet. That comes, as any business, when they complete the technology (!) Show some patience, long term gain. | paul_98
07/1/2018 07:48 | I am reasonably confident that LIGHT will be successfully developed and will get to market. I am less confident that AVO will still be around when it does. In fact, given the record of the BoD, I am amazed that AVO still exists. I see it as an interesting punt but no more than that. Certainly not something I'd bet the house on. They have never made any money, they spend it like water, they have used increasingly desperate measures to raise cash to stay afloat that have enormously diluted shareholder value and they will need yet more cash before they are through. | daijavu
05/1/2018 15:29 | THis isnt going to be decided on whether one poster post negative views. It comes down to whether management can deliver this time. Update on 28th December was positive for me but always happy to hear alternative viewpoints on holdings. SOmetimes stops you falling in love with a dodgy stock and not cutting out when appropriate. I would much rather have the negative side than the ramptastic we're off to 300p etc you sometimes get. | 5070481
05/1/2018 15:28 | Its an EXCELLENT chart!!! Traders will be taking profits but i'm a long term investor. Im willing to wait until I get my price! My price is not less then £1.50 | jayj4u
05/1/2018 10:37 | If you are following this daily you are going to see a few peaks and troughs. Long term chart is on the up though | marvin66
05/1/2018 08:45 | So have I. | daijavu
04/1/2018 22:30 | Could you consider being a quiet cynic?! Some of us have hard earned money in this. Cheers. | paul_98 |
