According to the timeline in the March presentation, the SCDTL testing and the Proton Power Source should be complete by the end of the month. Not sure if it is still on track, but speculation may be playing a factor in the share price movement back above 30p.

I expect/hope for further positive Harley Street updates, more positive technological updates and funding updates. Which should see more surges. Remember this was always touted by knowledgable people as a long term hold. All IMO.

paul,

OK, what news do you expect is forthcoming then?

As an investor (not a big one I must say) I'm happy believing it's all to plan and also doesn't take a genius to know that news must be forthcoming so I've topped up in anticipation.

Paul,

With no news officially announced, either something has leaked or someone is promoting somewhere, it's either one or the other!

You have to hope it's not a leak.......

paul,

Only around £60k shares traded, and roughly 60:40 split on buys to sells.

Either news has leaked (not good if it has!) or it's being ramped, or tipped, somewhere.

Looks like someone has been using on the share sP graph, that "particular" gentlemens' spray that you can now get.

Mind it'll probably end with "brewers drip" or whatever the ladies equivalent is? :)

All feedback confirm this is world class technology with an enormous commercial potential. The big Q is - will the current corporate entity be the beneficiary of this potential, following........maybe £75m of investments and input of all this fantastic IP? That the project will turn into a commercial operation is 99% certain, as is the assumed upside potential at several hundred million pounds of value in this, if not more. So if the current entity can secure financing these shares should fly by a significant multiple on the news. I find this being a really attractive risk/reward, in addition to which i believe that supporting AVO, is also supporting a very important project for sufferors of certain types of cancer. Mr Sinclair et al should be applauded for their efforts !

Paul,

Sadly in the world of business that doesn't normally favour the seller!

What would such a stand a lone finance deal be secured against out of interest?

andy

Quite possibly an excellent stand alone finance deal then which could be significantly good news!

I expect the next update to be a financing announcement.

Unless they try to pump some good news to spike the price.

If nothing is announced soon, at 27p I would doubt they could get a placing away, as the par value is 25p.

glib,

I totally agree, there has to be a danger that this could run out of funds before completion and the technology be lost for the shareholders, only to benefit those with a security on the assets!

I think that is a very realistic possibility, without a clear financial path to service being provided by the company.

A small raise just keeps kicking the can down the road, they need a financial backer of some substance, IMO.

There is no doubt in my mind that AVO has a wonderful piece of kit that will benefit mankind enormously but I have my doubts that the present small shareholders will get any benefit from its success.

The most likely scenarios are that the company will either go into liquidation through lack of funds and the pieces be bought back for a song by the major shareholders and go forward as a private company or that once LIGHT is finally developed one of the big players in the field will make a hostile takeover bid. The latter is probably the best hope that most shareholders have got of recovering any of their cash.

The technology has superb potential and could do a lot of good.
I am confident that the technology will continue to be developed and become successful.

The big question here is whether it will be AVO that are in possession of that technology or if someone else will eventually take it to market.

The historic backers behind the company may decide to cut their losses, but i believe AVO will fund this to completion. Not sure if it will be to the published timescale or not, but there is always the option of an AGM and reducing the ORD share value to something lower and getting a mass placing away. I'm not sure how much money they need to complete the project but if a few more milestones are RNS'd then I believe AVO will be around for a few years yet.

I'm with Twirl on this one. What's missing is the finance to make it happen and that is a huge black mark against its future. I have also been in the position where, in good faith, I invested in a share only for it to run out of funds and then go into liquidation where I lost my investment in total. But worst still, the main parties/directors just bought what was left from the administrator for next to nothing and walked away. IMHO this appears to be going down the same route-unless of course they CAN raise enough cash to finish the project. It would restore my faith if they did!

Baner, I fully agree. That's the most sensible post I've read on bulletin boards for some time. This is for the long term hold. Yes, lack of news can be frustrating but it's a huge project.

this is about world class technology that will change the way cancer can be treated - nothing for short term punters looking for a quick buck and making vulgar statements unless the shares move fast enough. it is important for society that this company is allowed to succeed and i have no doubt it will. those who does not understand the upside and importance in this, please just keep a lower profile. there will be a lot of profits to harvest for those with a more serious and long term view on AVO. a lot!
