Imho just a lot of automatic sell trades based on momentum. Doesn't matter what sector, everything's down.

Let us hope that we have buyers coming in at these prices lowest share price for a year. The only concern in the results was the drop off in sales in OEM products, which will soon be back on track according to the Chairmans statement. IMHO they will look attractive to a predator at this lower s/p.

Trading volumes high this week with a high proportion shares going through at mid price. Strange that there have been no RNS notifications of a change of interest in nominee holdings...??

Looks like their Partner programme is vulnerable, judging hy Hollister withdrawing from the woundcare sector.
Presume they'd prefer more 'go it alone'?

I would really like to see a statistical analysis, by company to demonstrate the success, or failure, of share buybacks.
They deliver nothing to the business.

We need a large investor to believe what I believe and others that AMS are a good solid Company, increasing profit a good product range and growing every year. Maybe too many shares around, Company share buy back would be helpful to drive the share price North.

I made my first purchase of AMS shares in 2002 around the time I started managing my small cap portfolio and have added progressively. I posted on this B.B. in those early years but I don’t think I’ve posted here on AMS in the last ten years. What a great success AMS has been and I can’t see why that should not continue. A great example of buy, monitor and add. See you in 10 years!!

Strange sort of day for AMS share price up 6% at one stage and finishes the day up just 1% on very small volume, are MM`s playing games.

clearly some selling pressure even on the decent results

Market is that way, at the moment, but I'm no seller - we're 20% off the highs, and the success story that is AMS has not changed with these results

HOw the market values that success is , as always, up to the market

Overall good results - lower turnover growth but excellent margin improvement (3%!)and cash generation. Dividend increased 20% albeit remains modest.

Full yr forecast for eps of 10.2 - achieved 5p in first half.

AMS never under-performs. H1 Results are good. Cash pile growing at great lick. Quality company, with loads of cash in the bank.

Good set of results, bank balance increased, eps up 17% dividend up 20%. OEM division under performed though but should be back on track by final results.

If the results are as the Trading statement in line with the Company expectations, I cannot see why the share price will not climb back up IMHO.

Interims are on Wednesday next week so we should see some stability after that.

The present mark down has been on very thin daily volumes.

AMS historically has periods when the share price drops and it appears that the MM's are "fishing for stops"

In the past, it has always recovered and then some! Hopefully this time is the same

I've had a few stocks go disproportionately down today. Maybe just the FTSE/brexit coverage dragging things down? Hopefully it will bounce back tomorrow. Looking at trade volumes over the past few trading sessions, buys seem to outweigh the sells.
