13/3/2019 07:17 | Nice. RNS this morning. Unaudited preliminary results. Commenting on the results Chris Meredith, Chief Executive Officer of AMS, said: "2018 was AMS's 17th consecutive year of growth with strong financial and strategic progress across the Group. | potty punter
28/2/2019 06:43 | TT International are now off the disclosed short position list having dropped below 0.5%. Total disclosed short positions now = 1.72%. :) | potty punter
26/2/2019 10:39 | Very odd price action early on most days. Small opening trades at the open outside the range push the share price into auction (eg today). Anyone suggest what's going on? 🤔 | wetdream
26/2/2019 08:50 | Checked shorttracker this morning and TT International have reduced their position to 0.57%. Below 0.5% and their short position will not be disclosed on that site. So position at the moment is. Total disclosed short positions = 2.29%, down from 2.97% about 6 weeks ago. Disclosing are Merian Global at 0.86% Bennbridge at 0.86% TT International at 0,57% hxxps://shorttracker | potty punter
19/2/2019 18:20 | Commented on the poor quality of strategists Merian Global have recently. As stated below, true to form, they now look like they are capitulating on their short after building a position only as recently as Dec and late Jan. That's a tail between the legs jobber that folks! These are the guys people rely on and trust with their funds....fund manglers! Amusing. -------------------- Sphere25 6 Feb '19 - 17:04 - 2979 of 3014 Edit "................... It's soooooo risky being short illiquid stocks like this. I've already commented on Merian Global on the GYM board. They're giving their stock away cheap there (on a value play) and shorting and getting hammered here in trying to fight the market. They don't know what they're doing. They'll probably capitulate here just like they have done on GYM. Very poor!" | sphere25
19/2/2019 17:32 | Let us hope that the notice of results as given the shorters the jitters and that the results are good. | dealit
19/2/2019 16:17 | Further to my post this morning at 07:22, Merian Global Investors (UK) have yet again reduced their short position. Preliminary results due on 13th March probably giving them the jitters. TBH, AMS is not the best of companies to short. With year on year growth it is a bit of a risky venture. | potty punter
19/2/2019 09:00 | Good. There are three declared shorters, two of whom have reduced their short positions. hxxps://shorttracker | potty punter
19/2/2019 08:57 | `potty`is that a good thing or bad for the s/p. | dealit
19/2/2019 07:22 | Merian Global Investors (UK) have reduced their short position on AMS. | potty punter
14/2/2019 08:08 | `p@` so is that the reason why they are shorted ??? | dealit
14/2/2019 07:24 | deal-ams are on a very high PE ratio, and a high market cap -£650m,they must keep growing at past rates to justify these values. | p@
14/2/2019 07:13 | I keep asking this question on this board, why are AMS shares so prone to this outrageous practise of shorting. | dealit
14/2/2019 01:10 | Judging by the volumes traded, some of the big holders are p!ssing about, loaning out their shares. 2.1m traded according to AMS chart apparently, but not appearing under trades info for 13/2. Weird. | wetdream
13/2/2019 18:55 | dealit, any shareholder who puts a sell price on their holding is ringfenced and their shares cannot be shorted. Downside is if for example there is a surge in the market cap for whatever reason you could be out so a high price needs to be stipulated. | potty punter
13/2/2019 16:14 | What infuriates myself is that shorters are creating the share price to drop with my shares. | dealit
13/2/2019 03:41 | Let them buy, let the sell, I for one will neither buy nor sell, I have a nice number of the shares and hold long term. I can not think of a sounder stock with sounder prospects. | winnings1
12/2/2019 19:09 | We know now. | wetdream
11/2/2019 14:25 | Do not know if they are buys or sells? | dealit
11/2/2019 10:19 | Big trades going through. | wetdream
11/2/2019 07:08 | Hmm....in that case no fee is payable? 🤔 | wetdream
10/2/2019 09:27 | I did not know my shares could be used in that way, NOT HAPPY. | dealit
10/2/2019 08:14 | Yes wetdream they can. | potty punter
10/2/2019 06:55 | Can shares held in nominee accounts be used for shorting without the holders permission? | wetdream |
