30 November 2017 Construction of the first five-tonne-per-hour CoalSwitch(TM) plant will be completed in December 2017 followed by full commissioning and revenue generation thereafter, Utah

4 June 2019, Rapid progress advancing construction of new CoalSwitch(TM) operation at Lumberton, U.S.

2 June 2021, First production of CoalSwitch(TM) at the Ashland Facility

24 May 2023, PDI has confirmed to Active Energy that construction of the CoalSwitch(R) Plant is due to be completed in Q3 2023 Ashland

Its been a travelling circus. Anyone one might think we could or should have had at least 4 plants running by now - at least that is what shareholders have been asked to cough up for over the last 6 years. But the current manifestation of the Big Tent is closer to being up with an initial operating permit achieved. Additional data needed within the first 6 months operation. De ja vu Lumberton... But perhaps this time with will be different.

Good luck to anyone piling in on this RNS.

How can a company perform so badly when Europe’s energy is crippled by the Russians. We all know investments can be risky but this company is such a disappointment.. I’m sure Michael is an intelligent individual, however he’s clearly stepped out of his comfort zone and has been a massive disappointment which has cost people their valuable savings. I don’t like criticising Michael on an open forum but he’s really not up for the job and should stand down and apologise for the numerous failures that have occurred by poor leadership.

Dave - it hasn't only taken longer, it continues to take longer. Progress is arriving at a point beyond where you were previously. Under that perfectly reasonable definition the company hasn't made progress - it has simply recovered a bit of ground.

Reactor designs are completed, but unbuilt and untested. The parts haven't even been manufactured - they are only at the stage of having talked to manufacturers. They don't have a permit - and how can they, they don't know what emissions will be because the reactor isn't built yet to provide samples.

So, they have some nominal orders - that has been true for at least 5 years. But no reactor, no reactor parts and the pellets being sampled are presumably ones from the old design?

Lets try to tell it as it is.

You are right - the market is accelerating, energy costs have been at their highest for 20 years and AEG should be riding the wave - not calling having designed a new board "extremely productive" while others enjoy the surf.

Just a view - as always.

Great progress here; its clearly taken longer than expected but the market they are addressing as the pioneering company is now moving more rapidly than ever before.

Michael Rowan, CEO of Active Energy, commented: "2022 was an extremely productive year for Active Energy.

I don't think that word means what you think it means. Show me the pellets. Then talk about "extremely productive"... Until then please stick to talking about recovering lost ground and repair to lost shareholder value.

5p support is gone, another false rise and drift. Almost happens every year and brings lower lows. The BOD delivering as always.

Garth,

Not sure what shade of Green you are looking for?

Our product has been independently verified as using waste wood residue that would otherwise generate GHGs.

Also not sure I'm worried about licensing issues just yet, although it would be a nice dilemma to have I guess.

I'm looking forward more to the plant being up and running in Q1 and the demand that should generate.

Duce,

That may be fine for Maine, but the idea is that they should be able to license it all over the place. How does that work if there is a disclaimer added to the effect that our process is only any good if you have high quality waste wood. Thats pretty subjective and it seems some way removed from the idea of making it commercially viable to clear areas ravaged by forest fires, processing salty dog, using clearings from fire break runs etc. It seems to me that it isn't quite as circular or as green as it had the potential to be. And hence not really what I bought in to.

But that's just a view.

Garth,

My understanding is that it's the quality of the feed stock that determines the wash stages required.

The feed stock in Maine is of excellent quality and that's what allows them to shorten the process.

I see by the RNS on 28th June this year that the product was validated by Life Cycle Associates LLC.

Duce,

Black pellets, white pellets - they all use wood. Drax claimed to use waste wood, the Panorama evidence is reported to show that not to be the case. AEG tech uses waste wood - doesn't stop peeps felling ancient trees as feed material.

The advantages of black pellets are around burn heat, lower sulphur dioxide through washing etc. and their being largely impervious to water - making them easier and cheaper to ship and store.

It was intimated on this board that the new plant design had removed part of the washing phase - so this new gen of black pellets may not be as clean as the earlier ones?

Looks like Panorama are going for Drax again tonight.

Bet they wish they had used Black pellets from the start.

They must have one eye on AEG, once the plant is running in Q1 I expect a knock at the door.

Actually producing something would help, a working plant, permits, licenses, all that stuff normal companies have. This is either a new dawn or last chance saloon.

Hi All

What news are we waiting for that could really drive the share price forward?

Trying to be positive, there are a huge number of opportunities for jobs, etc.

Price has held well today. Hopefully some solid news soon (after a 5-year + wait, we deserve it).

AEG Andrew Diamond CFO resignation. That's a great loss I believed Andrew was a good CFO doing a very difficult job trying to clean-up the many years of Rowan's terrible mismanagement. hxxps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/aeg_plc/news/rns/story/xl837pw

Most here are so far underwater the rise doesn't mean much. We're at 0.2p in old terms and the path to profit isn't as clear as we would like...

Let's hope so decent real news about production very soon. We need to have some coal switch produced to do anything. 5 years+ of waiting and Rowan hasn't delivered anything.

Gone really quiet? Is everyone simply shocked out of commenting on the share price momentum? I've read through the recent few pages of posts, and last 7 months or so of RNSs and it seems things are shifting at AEG. I'm guessing maybe people are wondering if there is a real development just around the corner, or has there been ongoing smoke and mirrors... Any (well founded) ideas, anyone?
