05/10/2017 16:46 | Hi BT, good to see you're still about. I'm no longer producing joinery as the quality of the timber was becoming really poor and I didn't want to go down the Accoya route. I'm back to my old trade of buying and renovating period properties in Lewes ( planning 😩). I would love to get the rod out again, it's been a few years since I've fished clear water. I assume you have a closed season. I will search my contacts for your email address. Atb spudders PS I still hold here 😢 | spudders
05/10/2017 08:02 | Gosh, same old names still on this board, spudders, timberwolf etc, indeed, same share price too more or less. Reason I looked was bored having managed funds so actively managing some myself again. Also, after selling my shutter manufacturing business I got planning for a load of flats and houses on a factory site I had, got bad quotes so developing it myself. Now I can really see why AXS has never really flown, the windows and doors element, plus cladding, are a huge %. Profits are not what they were even if you already own the land. So getting the kitchens and bathrooms to appeal are much more important than telling a prospective 1st time buyer that the wood windows will last 50 years. I used siberian larch for cladding top floors and will leave it to grey out....the windows, didn't even get a timber quote, just went plastic....doors are paint finished pine, hopefully wont warp.....but probably will. At least the stiles are engineered a little, ie. finger jointed to cut wastage and fairly small diameter strips, so from younger trees presumably. But cheap....really cheap. Basically as a builder, which I now am, you build to sell for as much as possible for as little,as possible. Unless you are a council or heritage body you simply would not use this timber product or the mdf variant. Spudders, got rid of the carp, now just clear water, natural brown trout and stocked RBs, if you, want to fling a fly at powder mill contact me. | brightontrader
21/9/2017 07:08 | All looking good. 2019 numbers should be impressive compared to 2017. | this_is_me
17/8/2017 16:59 | I bought mine a couple of years ago for 60p. It has been a rocky ride so far, but looking good just now. | jadeticl3
17/8/2017 16:02 | They were the equivalent of 93p before the share consolidation and a whopping 1700p 10 years ago. I have had mine for 5 years or so and am only up 10% or so. I'm still hoping that they will make it big but it hasn't been a great investment so far. | this_is_me
03/8/2017 18:07 | Breached! Closed at 80.47 today! | timberwolf
26/7/2017 12:04 | Finally the share price has hit 80 again today, which is the highest level in around 2 years. The question is, will it breach that level now?! | timberwolf
