Most shares are down me personally my shares are down to 2022 level Stock Market not a good place at the moment hopefully things will pick up |
Apologies for a slight off topic. A couple of months ago, for a bit of a laugh, I put some ii isa monies into the ii managed isa fund. I opted for a very high risk portfolio which contains some abrdn funds. And to my surprise I am up nearly 5% - shame I didn't put the rest of my isa in there as it has performed poorly over the same period. Suet |
sometimes the directors of a company just don't what what the heck is going on. they sit in the boardroom thinking if only all the minions would work more effectively, their own grand plan will come to fruition. working in the nhs a long time entirely confirms this. i still remember the ceo of conviviality retail spending £1m of her own money on the shares, the day before it went bankrupt. I held and remain bitter, but thankfully i didn't buy more. i am wondering if Jason Windsor and her are related? he either has had a chat with a pal about flogging the company, or is desperate to keep either his options fillable or his job, by keeping the price up. half a mill is a lot of dosh. at half year he was wanting to "position us for a step-change in performance". step changes can also be downwards. the price really is at a crucial level. if it goes to <130 it is going to 100 or thereabouts. imho. hoping to buy much lower, but have a negative isa holding, even with the divvies.
ii is ok, but i sold all my aberdeen trusts a long time ago. |
May be sharks are circling. May happen after 4 months as director buy just happened |
Damn - is that all! :-) |
*DEUTSCHE BANK RESEARCH CUTS ABRDN PRICE TARGET TO 190 (195) PENCE - 'BUY' |
Be realistic as divi is not covered by profit. I never short any shares but never ignore the facts even when iam long here. |
Action loves talking ABDN down to fill his buy orders. On the plus side the Blackroch short position is falling & they always seem to know what they are doing. |

Yep - not sure what I bought these for but now sitting on a 63% loss in my ISA. Suet |
The wasteful buyback (in excess of one billion pounds) could have continued to support the dividend but now the cash reserves are so severely depleted, I fear for the worst. This is my biggest loser (on paper) ever.spud |
According to Monthly Fool divi is not covered by profit. May be 100p is indeed on card |

Take over target. With yield so high may be cut like VODA in half for liquidity. |
