Should have a decent bounce once global markets recover from the correction, also a nice drop in £ will be beneficial to earnings.

750p area seems to be holding again.

I was going to buy £20k’s worth but not easy to get a good price inside the spread, so I bought £20k of BP. the 6.4% yield and ex div 15 Feb, great results &nice pull back, persuaded me.

I will keep these on my closely watched stocks monitor I still retain a few shares.

Thanks Tomps2 for the link. Tim sounds positive but with the falling market and will continues to do so I am wait a bit further. The share price did dropped just above 750p today

Having looked at its 5 yrs trend and allow for the China market, I think 750ish is the fair price. I wait then to enter.

I think the recent weaker £ is helping the share price

Broker upgrades back in November suggest 1030p, I would put that more cautiously at 900/950p until we have further news flow.

Anyway I used the recent pull back to take a stake. It’s a long term hold for me.

The share price shot to the sky soon after the Chinese involvement with the Company despite it reported a "marginal growth". I think the share price is still over over priced.

3800 & Effortless Cool. Dead right about using Profit after Tax for PE calc's. Use £7.8m rather than £8.17m. Same direction of travel though. It was a long week!! MTB

Stockopedia is normally reliable. They have 35.2p normalised EPS for 2018 and 41.6p for 2019. These give forward PE ratios of x23.8 for 2018 and x20.1 for 2019.

(martinthebrave - you need to use post-tax profits for your PE ratio calculations).

Hi martinthebrave I'm getting my info from morningstar which only now gives Consensus Forecasts but they are 2018 PTP6.90m EPS 29.30p Div 3.66p 2019 PTP 7.60m EPS 31.80p Div 4.03p thats quite a difference to your numbers.
I'm not saying I'm right and your wrong but I really would like anyone else who has a better infomation feed to give their imput.

martin the brave the current Consensus forecast for 2019 is earnings of 31.8p that would give a p/e of 26.4 at 840p wouldn't it? Taking the forecast for 2018 of 29.3p would make it even higher.
