It is my mission in life to make sure than when the BIG news comes here, there are no shares left in free float for the MM's.

That way they will be squeezed to high heaven, especially when we lift off over 1p.

The party should be some shindig!

Added a few this afternoon and I am only mentioning it because I know how excited the Prof. gets when people tell him they have bought some :) I will probably buy more on any contract rns as well.

Indeed Brian. But if it floats at £300m or anywhere in that ball park, our stake alone would be worth £21m - 3-1/2 times our current mcap, so the 0.7p Beaufort put on looks about right.

Mind, that's before any more contacts are signed. We don't know the exact figures, but the JL deal must have been quite lucrative for VS.

Thanks Prof, Zaf did seem a little smug in the Zac interview.........perhaps this is one of the many plans he has for VS.

When you think of the personal stake he has in VS its not surprising that he seems to be spending all of his time and energies in promoting it. If it floats at £300 million, Zaf gets about £10 million and still controls LEG. Happy Days!

Not saying there is anything in it, and there probably never will be, but I learnt this morning that John Lewis have, or are, negotiated/ing a tie-up with AliBaba to allow them to sell in China, via their Waitrose arm.

This was news that only broke this morning, as part of the story on the BBC website that the bonus at John Lewis is being cut again.

I'm just thinking, if JL do get a foothold there it would be interesting if one of their directors explained to AliBaba just how they use VS for their retailing.

You never know, it could just lead to AliBaba taking an interest in using "The Edge" for their own retailing.

Stranger things have happened. Just an innocent word of mouth mention could lead to other things.

Just a thought so don't read anythi9ng into it, but the article on the BBC website is worth a read.

I would agree there, but in reality if you think back, interest rates are so low even three or four hikes by the US and one or two by the BOE wouldn't make much of a difference.

I wish the bank rate was 0.25% when I had a mortgage!

given current stock market successes, now would be the time, but they need to get a move on IMO before the interest rate cycle turns and stock markets get a set back..DYOR

I actually picked up over 2m yesterday in five different trades, didn't bother posting any details as it was obviously a tight market.

I have a strong feeling that we aren't that far away from another announcement.
