Over the road at The so called "London School of Economics" Hills has apparently told affiliates to take down their "enticing loss leader" banners "temporarily"

We will see if this becomes permanent

You will recall I mentioned our friends the Gambling Commission giving 888 a double bubble fine when punter x lost a significant amount of money at both Hills and Mr.Green and expected 888 to have been streetwise to the combined losses.

G.C. (who have obviously never heard of the Data Protection Act) expected 888 to realise the punter was betting with both firms

Maybe 888 should be the first to come clean with Joe Punter and let "Mr. Green punters" know that they can ALSO bet with 888 (as both have the ultimate owners) as well, but they restructure Mr. Green in such a way to "legally circumnavigate the Data Protection Act" - after all the Gambling Commission "allegedly" "set a precidant" that they "can"

If the above became part of "The Act" then the profits of the major U.K.bookmaker would literally "flutter away" due to duplicate/triplicare accounts producing "affordability issues" and of course the same would apply to ENT.

and GUESS which Company would benefit fom new customers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now back to the Mr. Green "issue" a WAG might say rename as Mr. Green-Hill
The phrase there is a "Mr-Greenhill" NOT far away WITHIN THE CITY WALLS .... etc" rolls off the tongue nicely
888 and red are supposed to be lucky for punters
But what colour is unlucky for racing people ?
"Green is an unlucky color for bettors at any other time. Many will not bet on a horse if the jockey’s wearing green, or if the horse is wearing a green saddlecloth. People also avoid wearing green clothing to the track on race days, because it’s likely to upset other people."
I don't think the "sharpest tool" in the box came up with that name
I was astounded when a member of the "ITV racing team" wore green in the last few months"
A bid from Draftkings would likely be a share for share exchange at a huge premium to the current 888 price
Draftkings is still making losses in the US and so they will be keen to use their very expensive shares to buy up very inexpensive and highly profitable gambling assets in the UK and Europe
Draftkings shares are over £25 now
I would not be surprised to see a future bid at 1 Draftkings share for 5 shares in 888
That would value any future Draftkings bid for 888 at about £5
Well moving on with talk of a buyout or offer from Draft Kings this Article does suggest it may happen but short term we will see.
888 Holdings (LON: 888) share price will be in the spotlight on Thursday as hopes of an acquisition jumped. The stock has been under intense pressure and was trading at 81.70p, the lowest point since July 17th. It has crashed by more than 39% from its highest point this year and by 83% from its all-time high.
DraftKings and 888 deal
888 Holdings is a leading company in the sports betting and gambling industry. It owns some of the top brands in the industry like William Hill, 888casino, 888sport, 888poke, and Mr Green. It has operations mostly in Europe.
The main catalyst for the 888 Holdings stock price is a report that DraftKings had discussed making a bid for the company. DraftKings proposed making an all-stock acquisition. It is unclear whether DraftKings will still pursue the all-stock transaction.
There are two main reasons why DraftKings would want to acquire 888 Holdings. First, it would give it exposure to the European market, which is a big one in terms of sports and gambling.
In this case, it would help it to diversify its revenue since it now generates most of its results in the US. DraftKings has tried entering the European market in the past. For example, it made an 18 billion pound deal for Entain, the parent company of Ladbrokes, Coral, and BetMGM.
Second, 888 Holdings has become quite undervalued because of its recent upheavals, including tax issues. The company is now valued at just 365 million pounds or $448 million, which is much lower than DraftKing's $16.8 billion.
In its recent trading statement, 888 Holdings made 405 million pounds in the third quarter, down by 10% from the same period in 2022. Its UK&I online business saw monthly users jump by 10% while revenue fell by 10%.
According to the Financial Times, DraftKings ended talks to acquire the company after UK regulators placed its license under review. The main cause of the review was a long-tribery issue in Turkey.
While DraftKings might not pursue a deal, there is a likelihood that the company will be acquired by either a bigger competitor or a private equity company. An acquirer would hope to improve the business and its profitability. They would also want to reduce costs and increase its international presence.
Similar Articles appear but they are behind a paywall. The above summary is accurate for other parties or PE looking to to acquire 888 Holdings.
The chairman and CEO buying shares does sound similar to Pendragon when they bought shares before the Buyout.
I did mention that 888 Holdings is on a watchlist of a few Funds and PE. The article was leaked for a reason we will see what falls from the tree.
PERHAPS lODGEVIEW might now want to move "OVER !" to post on Flutter because "their number is up" at the BINGO site TOMBOLA they own. The FT "reports redundancies" and some staff absorbed into Sky bet or Paddy POwer.
Flutter gambled that by bottling out of a profits warning when first ENT owned up then 888 they could quickly turn the tide by going from game-keeper to poacher ( and by being silent GAMBLED on a pick up in performance.
The poacher got caught and their is no sighting of a RAREBIT of good news
But as they say in the Indiana Jones film "they chose poorly"
Shame that
Article 14 April 2023
2022 proceedings saw 888 restructure its debt issuances, using new proceeds to repay its financing package for William Hill, as the enlarged group ended the year with a nominal debt of £1.8bn. The recent update debt was listed at 1.6 Billion.
Also, 1.3 Billion is fixed till 2027, the floating debt is being reduced daily through cash flows. Again I shall mention William Hills July report please read it.
The board has mentioned the Business plan on how to tackle the debt through this. Please read you may have missed it. The debt comparison to the Asset value of 888 Holdings is interesting. The Asset value is a lot more than the debt.
The CEO has a good track record and only started in October 2023 again please read his background history.
I could link all the information above but again Blackhorse please read the reports via news articles, financial reports, 888 Holdings guidance, and so on.
I have a rough idea of how the debt may be used with leveraging if employed in a good manner with interest rates coming down the next year. You may want to read The Times Article on Private Equity or Funds looking into UK companies.
Hope this helps in some way in understanding the question you raised.
