I suspect new management may lower the expectations. They've already said they will miss this year. Also there's a potential new 1% UK tax

Any expectations for the update tomorrow morning?

Main thing which I'm looking for is simply confirmation that the synergy extraction is on course, and that they're still confident of their 23% EBITDA margin in 2025. Assuming so, EPS will be more or less in the region of 35p so very cheap at current levels.

The equity story for 888 has zero to do with this year - its all about 2025

Poppit that is very much on my mind regarding a Takeover. The scenario would be as follows Fund enters with a bid. An RNS follows with the Board turning it down and does not show value in the company.

Share Price would go up in the first place awaiting a response from the bidder better offer or some other parties comes in.

Many companies are presently being undervalued across the board with share prices falling in those companies. USA Investment/Equity Funds are waiting in the wings.

The present situation with Pendragon Plc is a good example. A bid came in then others followed.

Price here is absurd

PE of just over 2 v industry average PE of 12

Entain PE is 16

A normal PE of 12 gives a share price for 888 of over £4

Debt situation for 888 is also easily manageable

Ebitda is about £400 million and annual debt payments are about £150 million

Fair value is about £4 or £5

Takeover bid or Private Equity bid is also very possible at a price of about £3

Looking forward to 18 October 2023 for the next update. Maybe the CEO will say a few things in his first week.

On the downtrend of the share price, some former parties have sold some of their positions since September 2023.

When the market realises that 888 shares are trading at a discount of about 80% to Entain the share price will move towards fair value of about £4 or £5

I would expect a bidder to buy 888 first though as the William Hill brand will be a huge asset for any rival
