I think thats a pretty good article although I didn't red anything I din't already know. As I posted here a few days ago, the UK is 888's biggest market and will be hard hit in my view while the US is a massive opportunity but at some point will turn just like the UK. Maybe one point I hadn't considered was the growth potential in developing Europe

Regarding the takeover question I have a fear that we have played hard to get and will be left out when the music stops

That has been lurking in the background for a few years now but is yet to happen. They are doing very well in their own right at present and it remains to be seen just how much further the share price can rise.

The next trading update will no doubt tell us that and, whether to risk staying in, or getting out with a very handsome profit, is a big decision to make either way for me.

Bet365 offers online gambling in China where noone else dares. "Bet365 has grown into one of the world's largest online gambling businesses, helped by Chinese punters, who risk prison terms by betting via the group's website."

I agree also Denise Coates pocketing 465m won’t help the cause either albeit she pays her taxes and charity etc and I personally have no issue with her but it shows big gains for some. Regulation probably but whether we are around as 888 by then I’m not sure.....

I think these may be the golden years for the online betting industry. When Europe was in lockdown no politician was going to add to the pain by clamping down on the industry in the way that had been muted previously. But as it opens up and normality returns those voices will be back and this time Treasuries will be looking at anywhere that did well in the pandemic and looking for ways to raise revenue

The US opportunity of course will provide a counterweight to that

Still going up! Albeit with the wider market but seems to have strong momentum here.

Yes March did us proud! I've trimmed about 40% of my holding as part of year end tax tidy up. I'd twice previously regretted not doing that as it crossed £3 and mentally committed to not missing another opportunity. Full credit to the team they have done a fantastic job

Onwards and upwards. Lots of activity so can only be a good thing. Sold a small amount last week for tax purposes but still have a significant holding.

Makin - agreed, which is why it would be a great defensive acquisition, you would buy it if vultures were circling and you didn’t want out!!

Rim, surely no one would buy a European retail operation at this point. To be fair they did reference it on the call
