Pre-Close Trading Update

888, one of the world's most popular online gaming entertainment and solutions providers, today reports on trading prior to entering the close period in respect of its preliminary results for the year ending 31 December 2015 (the "Period").

Further to the announcement of 888's Half Yearly Report on 28 August 2015, the Group has continued to deliver a very encouraging performance in line with the Board's expectations. As a result of the continued trading momentum in the second half of the year, the Board anticipates that adjusted EBITDA* for the Period will be at the top end of the range of analysts' current forecasts.

Brian Mattingley, Executive Chairman of 888, said:

"Building on our very encouraging first half performance, 888 has continued to trade well through the second half of the year, driven by notably strong performances in Casino and Sport. Underpinned by our quality brands, leading technology and CRM expertise, 888 remains very well positioned to deliver long term sustainable growth."

Looks like TO stuff is coming back.

The "player strike" at pokerstars will be helping 888 but it depends how they deal with this over at Stars

As I have discussed here before the fundamentals look great. It would be fantastic if technicals trade in sync with fundamentals. As long as the story is validated by the price action I remain firmly bullish on 888. Good weekend all.

The funny thing is when I wrote it I actually thought it was Friday afternoon. Imagine the heartbreak expression when I realised I have one more day to go. With the assistance of a nice neat little bid we could just have a dandy weekend.

Yes it could be a delayed trade cyman but assuming the trade took place yesterday then it has to be a buy. Let's see what today has in store for us!

Well we seem to be back into safe territory. As long as she holds 160 or above I am happy to sit it out but looking back 160 has been an important milestone for last year or more so a breach below is worrying in the extreme

Have to say I am very impressed with the last trade of the day which is clearly a buy. Will keep a very keen eye to the market opening tomorrow.

As i have said here before I am very bullish on this company. However, I never argue with the tape and stay bullish for so long as my stance is confirmed by rising prices. If the later is not the case, I jump off the train for a bit in the hope of getting back in when the uptrend re-establishes itself (if it does). Surely, there is a cost doing so but it also can save a lot of headache if something goes wrong. GLA

Agree with tongosti. Let's see what morning brings, but if there is no change upwards i will be reassessing my position. I have been a holder for a long time and enjoyed my dividends but I am very sceptical of the 250p target that has been discussed here. The shakeds are too comfortable to let this go for anything less than top whack and I don't have their resources to sit and wait for years

Yes but the diference this time around is that 888 is exhibiting negative relative strength which is not good

888 should be reporting soon(but not sure when)and when they do, I think its going to be very positive.

The performance of the share price since the William Hill takeover offer and the failed Bwin offer has not done much to encourage shareholders that 888 should remain as an independent.I would have expected a slow improvement in the share price even if only mirroring the market as a hole.
