17/7/2015 10:56 | Nicely noticed Frankie! They had a sell rating till the announcement today, now it's a mere hold. Date 17-Jul-15 Panmure Rating Hold Old Target 96.00 New Target 150 Big Change (But still way off the beam) | gotnorolex
17/7/2015 10:23 | how long before shares in BPTY get cancelled and we are given 888 shares? | hubshank
17/7/2015 09:39 | I can keep up just fine and don't need to be patronised by you. Nobody knows how much of a big deal the bad actor clause will be in the future unless they can see the future. | whiskeyinthejar
17/7/2015 09:35 | the tribes don't regard bad actor as, gone away. with all due respect if you keep up with all the nonsense in the states you will learn that. Amaya will find it impossible to enter California and Pennsylvania because of bad actor restrictions and most other big states are ruled by the tribes vote, BY LAW. The Tribes fear Amaya, as, not interested in their needs. | stephen1946
17/7/2015 09:15 | Bad Actor clause thing may blow over. By the time certain US states get round to writing legislation it may not be an issue. Arguably bad actor issue has already gone away for Amaya as it goes away in a change in ownership. Amaya will get their way into US one way or another. Would they exclude the company with by far the most popular product? Amaya has 66% of global poker business. | whiskeyinthejar
17/7/2015 08:46 | just 10 days gvc holders were crowing from the roof tops, well done Kenny! just like some on here, I would suggest keeping your own counsel until the deal is in the bag. | stephen1946
17/7/2015 08:33 | Well done 888 , Not bad for a management with "no ambition" and leading them into the wilderness as some were saying on here. To win a T/O when you are 5p under the rivals bid takes some serious talking and maybe the cultures did have the desired influence !!! Just want the states opening up now. | oohrogerpalmer
17/7/2015 08:25 | turkeyburger comes along for the ride, hmm, not impressed. Amaya must come back with a higher bid, baazov wont/cant allow 888 such an advantage, $5bn debt and a bad actor clause that bpty would have got rid of, Amaya must come back surely. | stephen1946
17/7/2015 08:21 | How wrong was I! Well done 888, and with a lower bid too! I assume BPTY thing 888 paper is more valuable than GVC paper to accept a lower offer. | brownie69
17/7/2015 08:20 | Fundamentally BPTY have some good assets and a good brand. Not such a bad deal and makes 888 a US powerhouse and sharing poker liquidity will make them competitive with Pokerstars. It will be good for them long term as it would have been for GVC. The key as a 888 holder is the price is lowball. That is impressive. As a BPTY holder it is not so good but given I am getting more 888 shares I guess it kind of evens out | trentendboy
17/7/2015 07:09 | the Offer represents: o a value of approximately 104.09 pence per bwin.party Share; Fair enough | shano2
17/7/2015 06:30 | Nice find cabbie :) | mozartprodigy
16/7/2015 08:58 | Still no news from 888. But share price action suggests that the market thinks they are not the chosen ones, ie share price rising suggests there will be no big fund raising here. Not a surprise IMO. GVC have huge synergies in integrating the Sportsbooks, 888 cant compete with that because they don't have a sportsbook of their own (only a white label) Kenny Alexander (CEO GVC) on record as saying 100m EUR in synergiies, so no way 888 can compete unless they over pay. Based on their track record to date I'd say the controlling shareholders here would not be inclined to overpay. | brownie69
16/7/2015 06:59 | Maybe more... | mozartprodigy
15/7/2015 22:47 | If this ruling went in our favour all gaming stocks would gain 10% | frankiethecabbie
15/7/2015 22:37 | Funny to see our poker numbers increase 300 average players this week whilst the others continue the downward trend during these typically quiet summer months. Partypoker looking to breach sub 1000 average players. I remeber the days that party/full tilt and Cereus looked untouchable.... | mozartprodigy
15/7/2015 15:41 | I read along the way that if 888 were to get BPTY their share price should rise to £1.75-£1 | hubshank
15/7/2015 14:58 | Plus 888 are then back in play as a target. Should get them back to the 1.80 mark | trentendboy
15/7/2015 13:30 | sp rising today, that normally means they have pulled out of the battle and refused to overpay. | rbcrbc
15/7/2015 09:25 | Guess not then! Lots of names been and gone. I scrolled through old party thread I ran years ago, many names vanished from there! | hubshank |
