12/8/2015 08:14 | Something has happened but I can't find anything | frankiethecabbie
12/8/2015 03:48 | 1.2million shares sold, interesting transaction! | cyman
10/8/2015 09:19 | Just how anyone could drink 11 pints of beer and live is beyond me. On the rate occasion that I drink 3 pints it takes me 48 hours to recover. In fact I gave up alcohol almost altogether as it doesn't agree with me. Will have a wee tipple though if this bid goes through | cyman
10/8/2015 09:03 | We'll have to redefine hostile bid by GVC, being ravaged by a dead sheep comes to mind! Market says 888 to win with improved but still the lesser offer! | gotnorolex
09/8/2015 20:44 | let you know which stand I am in. I go where the Aussie`s go, great crack. Be good to meet, looking forward to seeing you. Apologies for o/t. | stephen1946
09/8/2015 20:01 | Lol might meet up with you for a pint | frankiethecabbie
09/8/2015 19:57 | frankie, me too, TB was incredible, never seen such well intentioned fun, a party in every pub, hotel was magical. Old Trafford will still be a great occasion, the aussies are a fabulous bunch of supporters, can they drink?? 15-20 pints and still stood up, sorry I let the side down, 11 and I was asleep. | stephen1946
09/8/2015 19:49 | PS . I also have my tickets for the England / Australia at Old Trafford in September ! | frankiethecabbie
09/8/2015 19:32 | Stephan, I am of the opinion like you , in the long term the merger with Party and 888 will reap more rewards but I also feel Springowl will side whoever gets to £1-27 first . | frankiethecabbie
09/8/2015 19:20 | frankie, surprised you asked that question, nobody knows better than you the stakes here, 888 daren't lose. You have highlighted many times what will happen should 888 buy BPTY. Amaya immediately have credible competition, and Amaya debt problems increase many times with a competitor with merit. | stephen1946
09/8/2015 19:13 | I understand that Springowl paid around 127p per share for their stake in Bwin. | loganair
09/8/2015 18:02 | But how much will 888 be prepared to pay for Bwin ? If Springowl can recover their investment through GVC I am sure their attitude would change towards GVC , it's all about money ! | frankiethecabbie
09/8/2015 17:09 | As yet nobody has highlighted just what a lightweight GVC is in the USA. plus, GVC would not be welcome in the usa market, and licensing would be improbable, therefore gvc would need to sell off the poker division and the sportsbook a deffinate no no in the BPTY scheme of things. GVC are being over ambitious and don't seem to be in touch with reality with much of what they can and cannot do. The GVC holders are adamant that gvc is gods gift to gambling investment I strongly disagree, GVC could fold tomorrow(unlikely but possible) dealing in unregulated markets is the ultimate gamble. 888 will win, it will just take longer and cost gvc kudos and lots of Wonga. | stephen1946
07/8/2015 20:09 | Bwin could use GVC's latest offer to coax a higher offer from 888, said Simon Davies, an analyst with Canaccord Genuity. "It is at a materially higher rate than the 888 offer so I would expect the (Bwin) board to use this as leverage to see if 888 might be prepared to raise their offer." "I think it's unlikely to be the end of (the bidding war)." Bwin and GVC said on Friday they were working to evaluate GVC's offer. GVC expects a reply in 5-10 business days. 888, whose market value is roughly two-thirds of Bwin's, was not immediately reachable for a comment. GVC is smaller than both companies. | loganair
07/8/2015 13:03 | GVC offer for Bwin is 25p cash + 0.231 GVC shares = 125.5p. Offer values each new GVC share at 435.06p | loganair
05/8/2015 12:11 | What will the cash/share offer be for £1.25 bid then? They would need to increase the cash part of the offer. | tines
05/8/2015 11:11 | I've been reading several reports for 888 to be successful and win when it comes to Bwin they'll need to offer at least 125p per share. | loganair
04/8/2015 17:10 | On 27th August last year 888 announced half year results so we must be close to this years | frankiethecabbie
03/8/2015 12:10 | Stephen, 888 are a long way behind ATM, 104.5p vs 122.5p and with the BPTY BOD facing a huge legal action I'm sure if they don't take the best offer for shareholders I'm not sure you are right to say 888 will win with such a low bid. They are not rushing to increase it either. | brownie69
02/8/2015 07:32 | page 6 Sunday Times Business section; profile of Brian Mattingley. Nothing new regarding bidding process with BPTY, Just an update of current situation. 888 will win this, whatever GVC offer, 888 will always better it. | stephen1946 |
