Post 3821- 76% of retail traders (City Index) lose money, and we've been in a raging bull market. I wonder why? :)

"Why is the company having to reduce staff numbers by 35% if business is booming?"

LOL. I suggest you do some background reading on the company. Honestly!!

A clue. It's about the consolidation following their acquisition, and their aim to save £5m per annum in costs.

With a long term view on micro-caps a couple of pence movement in the share price either way is neither here nor there.

If 7digital's figures confirm cost savings, profitability and cashflow positive then it's full steam ahead. The share price will appreciate very rapidly, otherwise the share price ticks down whilst traders move elsewhere.

LTBH has always worked for me with micro-caps because of their illiquidity. You need to think 3-5 years ahead and imagine where the company will be. Volumes traded this morning are next to nothing!

There is always the huge contract win as well which would see the share price move very substantially before the market even opens.

Each to their own though, and if you don't like 7digital then don't buy the shares or sell up.

Aimho, DYOR.

Down to 3.75p this morning. I believe that's a new all time low. Many still remain optimistic but the market just doesn't see anything positive in this one. I'm still holding but getting very concerned. It was only 6 weeks ago it looked like we were on the rise and hit 5.8p. Maybe that comparison with BOOM and their 35% drop isn't looking so obscure after all.

I have sold a large part of my holding today, just kept a few in case !!! They do seem to be a management team that should be avoided, move on is my strategy !!!

Monte1, do you even hold any 7dig shares? If so, why if you're so negative about their prospects? If no, why do you comment on here so often?

You might be better off concentrating on your own investments then? ;)

They need to borrow to enact a strategy.

They need to borrow to provide working capital.

Summary - a complete POS.

If they're weeks away from sustained cashflow positivity and profitability (as suggested) then the market will wake up to the size of the opportunity here. The minimal debt that they will have will quickly be paid off or converted to equity, and the high gross margins will mean rapid and exponential growth.

We'll see in time, but a 35% staff reduction suggests that £5m per annum cost savings are achievable. It'll transform the company.

I note that this hound amongst hounds is once again on the borrow. Totally shameless.

That's any short term funding issues all but resolved, and the consolidation remains on track.

Hopefully the move to cashflow positive and operating profitability is now just weeks away?

Other than they were brothers many years ago, I don't see the connection.
Many firms are losing money, many firms will go out of business if they continue to lose money.
Boom and 7digital are totally separate organisations on different paths.
7digital may well struggle and lose 35% of it's value but in the other hand it could boom (no apologies for the pun)

let me adjust my post from last week for Michealmouse to highlight the commonalities imo between BOOM and 7DIG

----
BOOM & 7DIG were brothers at one time

including having some directors on both boards

big profit warning from BOOM last week & down ~35%

both still eating money at a rapid rate

& endlessly raising new money to stay alive

BOOM has about 12 weeks of life left without a new cash raise
..& that looks difficult since it is losing 5M$ on 12M$ of turnover...before extra losses from 1 offs. :-((

BOOM and 7digital are not comparable in the slightest. In fact it's a good thing that 7digital did cash in their chips when they did since they realised a healthy profit.

"Following the Sale, 7digital has no remaining equity interest in Audioboom. In total, the Company has generated a profit of approximately GBP3.53 million from its investment in Audioboom."

BOOM & 7DIG were brothers at one time

with 7DIG owning a big chunk of BOOM...(which it sold & then happily consumed the cash !)

big profit warning from BOOM today & down ~35%

both still eating money at a rapid rate

& endlessly raising new money to stay alive

BOOM has about 12 weeks of life left without a new cash raise
..& that looks difficult since it is losing 5M$ on 12M$ of turnover...before extra losses from 1 offs. :-((
