More than ever they need 7dig for growth.

For starters 7dig is independent.

MQA clearly also need to be independent.

Agreed, Tiger60.

Here we have the 3 giants of the music industry signing up to the new world format for streaming music, MQA.

But it's more than that for the record companies.

In doing so they take back the power they lost to the early adopters in the music streaming business.

Just as they had years ago selling records, and then CD*S.

I am not saying that things will play out 100% along these lines, but why do they even want to entertain the likes of Spotify, when they can be cut out of the supply chain.?

Have you ever thought what plans they have, and how to execute them.??

Bloomer.

The launch of 4-5 MQA streaming services where 7Digital plays a pivotal role will I believe produce rapid profits.

We know for a fact 7dig are working right now on a number of those services.

December 2014

: “MQA is a revolutionary new development in the journey towards serving consumers the purest high resolution digital files. MQA, which will be available in early 2015, delivers the quality of original studio recordings so cleverly and efficiently that it can be conveniently streamed or downloaded. For decades Meridian Audio has been at the forefront of audio innovation. We feel extremely privileged to have been involved so closely with the Meridian team right through the R&D stage, lending our own considerable and longstanding experience in high quality digital music services to the process. I truly believe MQA will become the standard for high quality streaming in the years t

I am failing to see the comparison between 7dig and Sony / Universal!

The launch of a number of MQA services is not going to catapult the valuation of this company. It might get us to an operating profit. You need to keep things in perspective!

1/ MQA and 7Dig are B2B partners.

2/ Agreed MQA make independent decisions, one was to set up this parnership years ago and work closely ever since.

3/ The teams at MQA and 7digital envisaged and implemented a process for bringing MQA's quality sound into digital music services globally. For years, 7digital has been dedicated to transforming the listening experience for music on connected devices. We are proud to be MQA's leading platform provider, allowing our partners to integrate MQA technology into their service effortlessly.

MQA is not 7dig you seem to continually link them as if we own MQA. They make independent decisions not ones in our best interests. Yes we have a licensing agreement but thats it.

Sc said we are not in the 9.99 'all you can eat space' but the demand for MQA will be those premium listeners.

I want to hear about 7dig commercial successes not those of MQA (please note i understand parts are aligned)

Good find I did not pick up on that.

That should please those who assumed (incorrectly) that MQA and 7Dig were not full blown partners.

The opportunity here is frankly, staggering.

These new streaming services require a trusted provider and here are some reasons why they may be extremely successful.

1/ Time and time again I ask myself why the record companies don't offer streaming music services themselves, cutting out the likes of Spotify.???

2/ MQA is far cheaper and much more efficient for the record companies to administer in different price bands.

A/ Today's 20 year old sound.

B/ CD quality

C/ Hi Res.

3/ Artists will demand that their music is no longer distorted.

4/ MQA will be the only format for music within two years because it's been designed for streaming.

5/ MQA has now been adopted by the big 3 ::: 67% of the world market, and Merlin (independents) 12%. The remaining fragmented 20% is joining at its own pace.

HYDRUS.

You are correct in stating profits are not guaranteed from these new streaming services however I don't think you quite realise that MQA and 7Dig have been working together for years to get to this stage.

MQA said this last year.

"By Spring of 2017 the vast majority of all the music ever recorded in the world would have been converted to MQA."

Warner one of the big three music labels came on board publicly in May 2016, Universal in January 17, Merlin and Sony in the last few days.

Look again at this line up.

The DEG continues its “Stream the Studio” series, hosting a session at international music convention Midem in Cannes on 6 June. Scheduled during Midem’s dedicated Streaming Day, the hour-long panel (11am – noon) will be moderated by DEG’s Marc Finer, with a line-up including MQA’s Mike Jbara, Ty Roberts of Universal Music, Andre Stapleton of Sony Music and 7digital’s Pete Downton.

These are the BIG SHOTS from both music companies.

7dig has publicly stated they are Now working with all of the big 3

In the last ten days both Merlin and Sony have signed up to MQA.

That is now the market 100% cornered inc Warner and Universal who have already come onboard.

HYDRUS:

Downton said that 7digital is working on “a number of launches” of high-res streaming services in 2017 for clients, and that these services will go beyond pure audio quality.

Before the year is out, four to five services could be streaming high-res, said MQA chairman Bob Stuart. Stuart’s company developed Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology to reduce bandwidth requirements to make it practical to stream master-quality audio

There is no evidence bloomer - it's pet lover's own view but there is nothing to back it up. Relationships with other companies do not necessarily mean revenue/profits - and most importantly cash generation.I watch here with interest but as yet the company has not released anything that shows they are about to go into explosive growth period. It's good that miton hold but their holding here is less than 1% of their fund value so can't read a lot into it in my view. Looking forward to company announcements though - not contract wins as it's impossible to determine the benefit of them - but announcements that show accelerating growth. I'm quite happy to sit on my hands and miss out on an initial spike as I do believe there is considerable risk of total failure here and total loss of capital. The accounts at payable balance is frightening.

"Tiny £11M pound company 7dig is about to grow very fast with high margins and recurring revenues."

Where is the evidence to support this claim?

"The other two companies around the table have market valuations of over £2BN Each."

Which two companies are you referring?

More podcasts to go,that was the first, so might get something on 7dig at a later date.

No there isn't a specific reference to 7Dig Flagon, it's more the emphasis he places on investors looking towards growth in the AIM micro-cap sector. With 12% of 7Digital, Miton clearly believe that 7Digital are a good bet. ATB.
