Re PVG.

I have not understood the trading update. Buyers have been picking up any sales since.

From that, I can only think something is in the pipeline but I don't know what.

For those that want to know what Milton see in this go to Dixon's or any similar shop and look at the new products with a HI Res sticker on them.

Then ask yourself why the big 3 record labels have signed up to MQA.

MQA quality will be demanded by the artists.

Looked at another way 60 years ago most houses were heated by coal, fewer that 10% of us had a car.

MQA licensing B2B partner is 7Dig.

MQA has so many advantages

1/ only 1 file required.

2/ higher quality

3/ Designed and built for the new music streaming services.

the arstechnica article above is pretty comprehensive.
I'm now out of 7dig. I still feel it could do ok from these levels but I'm not 100% convinced that MQA will gain traction

If you look at the performance over the last year the share price has failed to make any progression. When you look at the Simon Cole interview just posted he mentions timelines of between 12-18 months for things to heat up. The interview is a year old!

They need to put out the numbers, revenues will increase but suspect costs will as well. They need a catalyst. The share price will not rerate based on the latest rns due to the fact we have no way to measure the impact. Give us something tangible.

They need to create shareholder value and of course that is measured in terms of the share price but the chart above shows their failure to progress so far. Lets hope for new contract wins imminently...

Strange that some think this is bad news.

Musical.ly have to date, and still are, offering "A Free" service to over 100M users on its sites.

One smart way for them to make money is to use very cheap bits of music from 7 Dig to entice those users to take up a subscription service from Apple.

Apple don't want to run Musical.ly as they would be paying the record companies a fortune in licensing fees.

If this cross selling catches on, then 7 dig is going to do very well indeed.

YouTube just like 7 dig uses cheap music, and is the biggest in the world, it works on the advertising model.

7 dig is ideally positioned to run hundreds of services that need cheap music content.

None of this is good news? What exactly? 7dig have a legally binding contract and besides Musical.ly is one small cog in a larger wheel.

It seems some have an agenda.

None of this is good news and just shows how the bigger players can dominate so easily.

As I have posted on the MQA thread.

Musical.ly has two sites:

Musical.ly and Livel.ly

Musical.ly pays tiny amounts for its music content to 7Dig, it is a free to users, the trick is to use that to steer clients to Apples paying music service.

Hence the reason why 7 Dig has the contract.

Musical.ly requires an income stream.
