Great results. Strong points obviously Action again, but also continuing to trade the investment portfolio at values well in excess of recent book valuations. Spectacular share price rise but on low-ish volume so far. If I am being picky I would like to see some more new investment activity rather than 80% bolt ons. This would widen the potential for future returnsNevertheless having tripled my money I am a happy punter

Indeed, buying and forgetting about a quality stock this is probably the best strategy, no need to trade, just reinvest the divs. This has become my biggest holding by a long way now.

They upped the total dividend to 46.5p last year, and on the basis of this update looking at their Q3 cash position, they could pay a total of 50p this year without much of a stretch.

PE is supposed to be in the doldrums, with big discounts in a lot of funds. Performance here belies that, they are achieving sales well above internal valuations.

Lol this is the 3i group plc board, but yes agree the update on ii is not great, and having to put pass code in is annoying.

Im losing the will to live with the ii site now. Every time I try and login I'm being asked for a 5 digit code sent to my mobile. Driving me nuts so it is.

It's a fine balance between riding the wave and de-risking....but given Action's recent stellar performance what would you replace it with? My concern is that the Biard don't get carried away and convince themselves that Action is "different" or unique...hubris before a fall, but no signs of that yet

Yes I do wonder what would happen if there was the slightest bit a negative news on Action, but so far it's a real gem in the portfolio.

Obviously dominated by Action at 50% plus of value, but at present riding that wave is going well.....at some stage they will have to improve diversification

All good here, must be some big buying going on, new year and pm's are loading up here. It's still a good value and income play.

it is a truly awful set of changes, cant believe they have done it

placing a trade is much harder, and one thing is really really puzzling....if uk shares are quoted in pence, why when you go to trade they quote in £ ?

Totally agree, the ii site was fine as it was, now it looks a complete mess.
I complained when they changed the portfolio view a while back and customer services basically said tough, it's changing for good. It appears lots of others complained too, so they eventually kept the option to see the 'classic view' and had the cheek to announce it on their website too 'You told us you wanted to see the classic view, we listened...' blah blah blah.
But what they've done now is far more radical. I logged on to do a trade on my mobile and couldn't find the 'Place order/trade' option anywhere, no button, not in dropdowns, very frustrating. It stated 'download the app for best experience', but when I clicked on that I got the message 'not available where you are'.
In the end I logged on via PC and found a way of placing an order, but in a much less convenient way than before.
A shambles, basically. What where they thinking? Perhaps they don't want our business.

I was looking for the revert to classic option or something similar. Have managed to realign columns to how I wanted but unable to see the totals for the columns along the bottom. Should be quite simple for a spreadsheet. Not sure if I'm missing something but have messaged them to moan. As previous correspondence, only expecting generic response. Its frustrating when you are unable to gain access to your account over different weekends for maintenance and eventually get something that seems so dated. Hargreaves better than this.
