01/11/2010 04:18 | Nice one Chingman , Heres the final comments of Nic Snapes interview but the rest of the interview does make for an interesting read. Looking ahead, what are your expectations for the business moving forward? We believe we have two strategic opportunities to grow, which make it somewhat independent of what happens in the UK public sector. One is we have a really interesting opportunity in Australia; the Australian environment for spatial data is very different to the UK. The UK, as the National Mapping Agency, that does all the data collection and then all of the other forms of government use that data to underpin their operations. In Australia it's almost the other way round, data is collected down at the local level and it has to be aggregated up to provide national level data sets. Our technology and skills and expertise is ideally suited to that kind of environment. So we've just made a strategic appointment of a senior sales person down there and he's going to be primarily tasked with not only growing the business in terms of accounts and sales but starting to work a business plan based around having an acquired presence there so we can take advantage of that opportunity. The other key market for us is Europe. There's a legally mandated European programme to enforce a set of standards around data that enable it to be more efficiently shared so that cross-border planning can be more effective, because everybody collects data in a different way. If you buy a map in France it doesn't look anything like an Ordnance Survey map, or a map from Germany. So there's a programme called Inspire, which is designed to enable governments to more easily share data and to facilitate more integrated planning and environmental management. They need to think as Europe holistically and be able to share information, it's fundamentally important, and, again, our technology fits very well in that environment. We think it is quite likely that to really take advantage of this opportunity that can develop over the next couple of years that we need a broader European presence. We will be continuing to push the company forward and try and provide a good opportunity for shareholders to realise their investment. | ![]() baronstjohn

22/10/2010 08:25 | Commenting on the admission Nic Snape, CEO of 1Spatial, said: "We have been considering a move to AIM for a significant period and this reversal offered the perfect opportunity to come to the market. We have a solid business with a solid foundation and a proven financial track record. We believe that the AIM market offers us the opportunity to expand the business both organically and through acquisitions, in turn increasing value for new and existing investors." //////////////////// If the share price does not start going back up again soon I shall be writing to Nic Snape and making a complaint as we are all loosing at the moment which is not what he has stated.....:in turn increasing value for new and existing investors : (We need some constructive news.) | ![]() sagem

20/10/2010 12:55 | Enviro: i see what you are saying....but I genuinely thought the money markets would play with it uptill consolidation where I would get out. never happened and it's a lesson learned. thanks for your input. | jister1
20/10/2010 11:40 | Jister, i think if you go through the old thread, theres a post where i worked out the value of it when it was a shell. It was fractions of the then market price, so could hardly have increased, so when a business decides to use it as a ready made off the shelf company, you have to understand after all the ts and dots are crossed, its going to end up being worth even less than that. ...or to put it another way, 1Spatial was hardly going to pay a premium to simply change its legal status from a limited to a public limited company with AIM market listing. | ![]() envirovision

20/10/2010 10:18 | Enviro...it was a punt with some spare cash...The price had fell from 00.16 to 00.08 and I thought that once the resolutions were passed there was scope for a move up then sell at profit and if it wnet wrong...I would just tuck them away or take the loss. Punts never really work out good though in my experience lol | jister1

20/10/2010 09:58 | GETTING NOTICED AND BEING TIPPED Small Caps, AIM and PLUS Following the completion of the reverse takeover, 1Spatial Holdings* (SPA), the provider of intelligent, automated, data quality and integration platforms, commenced trading on AIM. Commenting on this, chief executive Nic Snape said: "We believe that the AIM market offers us the opportunity to expand the business both organically and through acquisitions, in turn increasing value for new and existing investors." GE&CR regards an EV/EBITDA multiple of around 10 times as undemanding for a company that is cash generative and increasing its profits and earnings rapidly. As such the research house initiated coverage with a "buy" stance and 123p target price. 1Spatial shares ended the day at 67.5p. | ![]() sagem
20/10/2010 08:59 | jister, what made you buy these if you dont mind me asking? | ![]() envirovision
20/10/2010 08:47 | So why are market makers marking the share down when their are no buyers.........could be because of the possibility of the company raising cash, but this company still has huge potential.....we will be rewarded eventually | ![]() sagem
20/10/2010 08:25 | We need some buyers and this will rocket....a company with huge potential in a class of its own | ![]() sagem
20/10/2010 08:19 | Broker note has a target of £1.23. Commisioned by the company but none the less...10p will not be happening. If you were so confident and you knew that would be the out come...why did you not say something before? | jister1
19/10/2010 16:00 | Yes its worse, your right, >19,000,000 shares in issue now, shall we say £13.5 Mill for a ball park then based on current 70p. Sorry my mistake, let me revise the target post #16 10 pence soon imo. Anyone who's in from 1 spatial who is able to sell at this minute could make a killing. -------------------- edit What a shame its not possible to short via one of the spreadbetting companies | ![]() envirovision
19/10/2010 15:00 | Current market cap is 15 million . | jister1 |
