                   Admission of new shares to trading on AIM

Application has been made for 338,056 Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading
and it is expected that admission will become effective tomorrow, 24 December
2003. These shares are being issued in relation to the Company's offer for
MineGem Inc., which was declared unconditional on 4 November 2003.



European Diamonds PLC is listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in
London and its shares trade under the symbol EPD.
