Emirates Takes Flight With GoRemote Secure Mobility Solutions
Rapid Growth of Integrated, Secure Managed Broadband Network Services
Represented in Emirates
MILPITAS, Calif., May 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GoRemote Internet
Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:GRIC), a leading provider of secure managed
broadband network services, today announced that it has signed a new customer
agreement with Mercator, the IT division of Dubai-based Emirates, one of the
world's fastest growing airlines, to deploy GoRemote's managed security and
mobility solutions.
Emirates selected GoRemote to provide their company with integrated managed
remote access solutions to facilitate the deployment of a new Sales Force
Automation application across the company. This comprehensive GoRemote solution
includes; the GoRemote Mobile Office solution with GoRemote Total Security
Protection -- an integrated IPSec VPN, end point security and centralized
security policy management solution.
Pauric Doyle, Vice President Technology Services at Emirates, said: "GoRemote's
ability to provide multiple integrated solutions as a managed service fits our
technology needs. We needed a cost effective means of leveraging broadband and
wireless communications on a global basis for our workforce. GoRemote's
solution exhibited the level of security and reliability that we needed as a
large enterprise."
Customers such as Emirates show that GoRemote continues to increase its
momentum and execution in the enterprise space, as the only single-source
provider of secure managed broadband network services for mobile workers,
teleworkers, branch offices and retail locations.
"Providing connectivity service alone does not meet today's distributed
enterprise requirements," said Tom Thimot, president and CEO of GoRemote.
"Companies require the integration and pro-active management of multiple secure
managed broadband network services-solutions which GoRemote provides. Our
message of providing secure managed broadband network services is resonating
with the enterprise market."
