It's not responding at all to the bounce in BTC .... very strange. A company in trouble? That happens to be the pair in just about every crypto-fiat cross?

given the setup btc should be pulling away here. so far it appears that bear traps have been taking it higher without the bulls actually doing anything. maybe this is still early stages - we'll see i guess.

still long. being sunday (and friday didn't drop much) will we see a drop of some sort?

tptb would love to shut btc down. all it will do is invoke greshams law, and enhance it's value.


great mining environment atm ... the diff has been falling on many coins, with price (and spot diff is far more volatile than price, which is great for mining, but it requires work .... I'm scripting the logic so I can leave it unattended :)

chesnuts - a fair proportion on this thread are short, others trade whichever way the chart goes, some are miners. My hypothesis is short to zero, but that isn't a trading strategy, one has to respect the chart. Also most obviously IMO not all coins are equal so money can be compounded by riding multiple coins down.

What you all miss on this thread is the powers can switch BTC off in a moment, so what use is BTC, and when the big boys have had enough thats what will happen, and your btc will be worthless.

Alts going nowhere until btc regains the major uptrend. I suspect it will make a first atttempt in the next 24hrs. If it fails at the recent high of 11800 then the rising wedge could lead to another pullback to 10200. Which would be a great long entry. Of course if it breaks out above then expect a quick, high volume move to 13k

Just more FUD from those that have most to lose. The banks and governments are doing whatever they can to undermine bitcoin while simultaneously trying to establish their own crypto! Of course entirely missing the point that's it's the decentralised nature that is key to its success. The whole intrinsic value is also nonsense, what is fiat in a world where central banks just continually print more of it? Also speak to anyone who has to pay the mining electric bill.

Alt coins are less inclined to join in, and bitcoin keeps meeting resistance to buying even though the daily chart looks positive in terms of higher lows and price relative to moving averages. Difficult to call.

... meanwhile I've been setting up my miners so I can quickly and easily switch coins. ETN and above is too mean a pool of sharks unless industrial scaled. The smaller coins can be very profitable :) ... but not for very long, the diff is very volatile ...
