Santander Consumer USA Holdings Inc (NYSE:SC), a provider of consumer finance solutions in the US, opened for trading today on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol “SC” after its initial public offering.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the Designated Market Maker for the company’s stock.

Chairman and CEO Thomas G. Dundon, accompanied by members of Santander Consumer USA’s leadership team, celebrated the company’s first day of trading by ringing the NYSE Opening Bell and visiting the trading floor to observe the stock opening.

Santander Consumer USA Holdings Inc. is a full-service, technology-driven consumer finance company focused on vehicle finance and unsecured consumer lending products. The company has a serviced finance portfolio of approximately $21 billion, relationships with nearly 14,000 automotive dealers in the U.S., and retail installment contracts with more than 2 million customers.

The company began originating financing in 1997 and is headquartered in Dallas.
