The Portuguese Investment Bank, Espirito Santo Investment Bank reported on the results performed by Spanish telecommunications company Telefonica (BOV: VIVT4), in the first quarter of this year.

Telefónica Brazil, the Brazilian arm of the Spanish company, increased its net revenues in 2.9%.

The Investment Bank’s report says that the Telefonica Brazil had preformed well, however for  more consistent results, it will require a more proactive stance in the fixed telephony sector.

Through videoconference the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Paulo Cesar Teixeira was confident by ensuring the enhancement to the fixed telephony sector, pointing out the positive aspects of the company, such as: solid balance sheet, strong network of relationships and brand consolidation.
