Coal mining company CCX  (BOV:CCXC3)

CCX (BOV:CCXC3) the coal company of Eike Batista has asked Bradesco, Itaú BBA and BBI Brazil Plural to prepare a report to assess a possible takeover bid and the de listing of the company.  Batista has however chosen to abstain from voting on the matter.

A meeting is scheduled for February 8th where shareholders will be asked choose one among the three institutions.

For people that do not know who Eike Batista is he is a Brazilian business magnate who made a fortune in mining and oil and gas exploration. Presently, Eike Batista is the chairman of Brazilian conglomerate EBX Group.
