UK public sector net borrowing unexpectedly climbed in December

In the UK, public sector net borrowing unexpectedly rose to £26.58 billion in December, compared to a level of £21.20 billion in the prior month.

UK manufacturing PMI unexpectedly advanced in January

In the UK, the S&P Global/CIPS manufacturing PMI unexpectedly rose to 46.70 in January, compared to a level of 45.30 in the previous month.

Euro-zone manufacturing PMI advanced more than expected in January

In the Euro-zone, the S&P Global manufacturing PMI climbed to 48.80 in January, compared to a level of 47.80 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to rose to 48.50.

German manufacturing PMI unexpectedly dropped in January

In Germany, the S&P Global/BME manufacturing PMI unexpectedly fell to 47.00 in January, compared to a level of 47.10 in the previous month.

US manufacturing PMI unexpectedly advanced in January

In the US, the S&P Global manufacturing PMI unexpectedly rose to 46.80 in January, compared to a level of 46.20 in the prior month.
