In the US, the Chicago Fed National Activity Index recorded a rise to 0.52 in December, compared to a revised level of 0.31 in the prior month.
German business expectations index unexpectedly dropped in January
In Germany, the business expectations index unexpectedly fell to a level of 91.10 in January, compared to a revised reading of 93.00 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to record an advance to a level of 93.20.
German current assessment index fell more than expected in January
In Germany, the current assessment index recorded a drop to 89.20 in January, compared to a level of 91.30 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to 90.60.
German business climate index dropped more than anticipated in January
In Germany, the business climate index declined to 90.10 in January, compared to a revised reading of 92.20 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to record a fall to level of 91.80.
