US budget deficit widened in July

In the US, budget deficit widened to $119.70 billion in July, from a budget deficit of $8.50 billion in the previous month. Markets were expecting a budget deficit of $123.00 billion.

Japanese domestic corporate goods price index remained steady in July

In Japan, the domestic corporate goods price index remained unchanged on a MoM basis in July, compared to a drop of 0.50% in the previous month. Market anticipation was for the domestic corporate goods price index to advance 0.10%.

Australian business conditions index dropped in July

In Australia, the business conditions index registered a drop to a level of 2.00 in July, compared to a revised reading of 4.00 in the previous month.
