UK house price balance unexpectedly dropped in November
House price balance in the UK registered an unexpected drop to 11.00% in November, compared to a revised reading of 10.00% in the previous month. Markets were anticipating house price balance to record a steady reading.
Euro-zone industrial production rose more than expected in October
In the Euro-zone, the seasonally adjusted industrial production recorded a rise of 0.20% on a monthly basis, in October, higher than market expectations for an advance of 0.10%. In the previous month, industrial production had registered a revised drop of 0.60%.
US mortgage applications rose in the last week
Mortgage applications in the US registered a rise of 1.60% in the week ended 07 December 2018 on a weekly basis. In the previous week, mortgage applications had advanced 2.00%.
US CPI remained unchanged in November
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index (CPI) in the US remained flat in November, compared to a rise of 0.30% in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the CPI to remain flat.
Canadian house price index fell in November
The house price index in Canada registered a drop of 0.30% on a monthly basis, in November. The index had dropped 0.40% in the previous month.
