UK services PMI declined in July

In the UK, the services PMI dropped to a level of 53.50 in July, compared to market expectations of a fall to a level of 54.70. The index had registered a reading of 55.10 in the prior month.

Euro-zone services PMI dropped in July

The Euro-zone’s final services PMI dropped to a level of 54.20 in July, compared to a level of 55.20 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to a reading of 54.40.

German services PMI slid in July

The final services PMI in Germany fell to a level of 54.10 in July, compared to a reading of 54.50 in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to drop to a reading of 54.40.

Non-farm payrolls in the US climbed in July

Non-farm payrolls in the US advanced by 157.00 K in July, following a revised gain of 248.00 K in the prior month. Market anticipation was for non-farm payrolls to advance 193.00 K.

US unemployment rate fell in July

In July, unemployment rate in the US fell to a level of 3.90%, compared to a level of 4.00% in the previous month. Markets were anticipating unemployment rate to drop to 3.90%.
