Orient Express Hotels Ltd. (NYSE:OEH): The company stock is currently trading at $11.42, up 26.61 percent from its previous close of $9.02. The stock had opened at $9.02 and has traded in the range of $8.93 and $12.75 in the current trading session. Orient Express Hotels stock commands the beta of 2.75. The stock has already traded 7.7 million shares, in comparison to its average daily volume of 422k shares. The stock surged after the news of the buyout offer by Indian Hotels. IHCL offered $12.63 per share in cash for the company stock not yet owned by it. Orient Express Hotels operates luxury lodges and it is base out of Hamilton in Bermuda. The stock has traded in the range of $6.16 and $12.75 in the past 52 weeks. The company had reported its latest Earnings per share at -$0.56.

Wesco International Inc. (NYSE:WCC): Wesco International is currently trading at $65.00, up 13.70 percent from its previous close of $57.17. The stock is trading at the Price Earnings ratio of 14.78. It has traded in the range of $41.00 and $68.19 in the past 52 weeks. However, the stock is trading below its 20 days moving average price and 50 days moving average price of $65.08. Wesco International reported its quarterly numbers today. The company reported its revenue at $1.66 billion, trailing behind the analysts’ expectations of $1.73 billion, but its EPS stood at $1.25, ahead of the consensus estimate of $1.24 per share. The company also reported about its acquisition of Trydor Industries and Conney Safety.

NetScout Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:NTCT): The company reported its quarterly numbers today. It earned 34 cents per share in earnings, beating consensus estimate of 26 cents per share. NetScout Systems also reported 16.7 percent increase in its quarterly revenue on year over year basis. The stock is currently trading at $25.49, up 7.92 percent from its previous close of $23.62. The stock is trading at the Price Earnings ratio of 31.02. It has traded in the range of $14.10 and $26.59 in the past 52 weeks. However, the stock is trading above its 20 days moving average price of $25.45 and 50 days moving average price of $25.35. The company also revised its guidance for FY2013. The company now expects its EPS to be in the range of $1.24 and $1.30 for the fiscal year. The stock has traded 589k shares so far, in comparison to its daily average volume of 211k.

Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ:LRCX): The company stock is currently trading at $36.47, up 8.62 percent from its previous close of $33.58. The stock had opened at $33.91 and has traded in the range of $33.76 and $36.72 in the current trading session. Lam Research stock commands the Price Earnings ratio of 27.14 and it is trading above its 20 days moving average price of $33.42 and 50 days moving average price of $33.36. The company announced strong quarterly results with its quarterly revenue at $906.9 million, beating analysts’ estimate of $903.6 million. It also increased its revenue 33 percent on Year over Year basis. Its EPS stood at 53 cents per share while it was expected to report its EPS at 41 cents per share.

Northern Tier Energy LP (NYSE:NTI): Deutsche Bank initiated its coverage of the stock with Buy rating and the stock has responded well to the call by trading at $22.20, up 6.68 percent from its previous close of $20.81. It has traded in the range of $13.00 and $21.95 in the past 52 weeks. The company updated its earnings outlook for Q3 of 2012. Northern Tier Energy expects its GAAP net earnings for the quarter to be in the range of $40 million and $65 million while its adjusted EBITDA is expected to remain in the range of $235 million and $255 million. The company is scheduled to report its quarterly numbers on November 12, 2012.
