The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the year 2021 revealed that roughly 850,000 cases of “hack” were reported, at a loss of $7 billion. When compared to the number of reported fire incidents in the same year, this figure exceeds the number of reported fire incidents.

  1. Set up two-factor authentication

If it is available, you should enable two-factor authentication on your account when you’re changing your password. The received TFA code must be provided before users are granted access to their accounts.

  1. Contact Your Financial Institution

Also, when your bank account gets hacked, you should notify your bank or other related financial institutions that may be hacked to get hold of your funds. This should be done without any delay so that your bank will keep an eye out for any shady activities.
