11/1/2024 16:23 | JD bad trading news, no more share buy back and the share price is now down 10 percent from recent highs. They operate mostly at the cheaper end but Flannels how well has it stood up to the test?Sports Direct should be solidHouse of Fraser they seem to be closing them all.Evans who's buying a bike after COVIDBig money being spent on ASOS and Curry's but both are struggling.Long time for no news until July. Could do with a trading statement.or share price south. | chester9
22/11/2023 15:33 | True it's both. Frasers are pretty tight on their cost controls. Either way the competitors will struggle more than them.Their Shirebrook warehouse has been part automated meaning reliance on labour from Europe has been made less painful. The discussed move to Coventry would mean new DC would be even more automated. Judging by money spent investing in other companies cash flow is no problem either. | chester9
22/11/2023 15:12 | Or more money in people's pocket who are most likely to shop at shops like Sports direct. | boonboon

21/9/2023 21:06 | In addition he gets paid out on MASH holdings which is linked partly to Frasers Group, rents for sites etc. As he owns 70% of company he gets his money both ways. With luxury homes around the world he now does it for fun, the game.Frasers will have hated JDs ongoing success story, you have to focus on something/someone to drive you on. The desire to beat JD will drive them on in the same way it did for JJB and others before.Problem is JD are very good. | chester9
21/9/2023 17:37 | Perhaps that's how he gets his dividend paid out - unlike ours! | pete160
21/9/2023 15:10 | Odd transaction by Ashley today betting that the share price won't fall by more than the premium he received as the put seller. I'm surprised that an insider would be allowed to do that! I've never seen a major insider do that. | velocytongo
21/9/2023 11:15 | Why when JD produce a great set of results announce a buy back that effectively locks the share price to £8. That said it guarantees the share price When Frasers buys a company typically the first thing they do is start a sale. Badly run companies, especially web companies do not manage their aged stock and returns, they hold it on the books at full value bonkers. Frasers deal with the stock usually at half price, it still makes them a big profit when bought from a distressed seller. Next tidy up the company and see if you can make it work, if not can you get a better offer from someone else? It's a clever model that gets stock at rock bottom price and clears at profit. If they paid 20m and sell for the same they will be sitting on a healthy return. Clever. | chester9
17/9/2023 20:00 | I wonder how much they'll get for Missguided. | boonboon
30/7/2023 07:47 | Frasers moving into former John Lewis in Peterborough's Queensgate Shopping Centre ==================== Frasers Group (previously Sports Direct International), is bringing its multi-brand retailing concept to Peterborough's Queensgate Shopping Centre, which has struggled to find an occupier following John Lewis shock closure back in 2021. Frasers has just secured approval from Peterborough City Council to fit out the former John Lewis store in a move that could take up to 12 weeks, which would mean an October opening – in good time for the Christmas rush. Last week, Frasers posted a 15% rise in sales to £5.6 billion for the 53 weeks to April 30. Its profit before tax rose 40% to £478 million. The company forecasts that its profits will rise between 5% and 15% to £550 million in this financial year. | voicingdissent
