SP £10 by October was the promise to long service low paid employees. Will Frasers let them down. 9 months to get the share price up. Failed the last two times. Surely not again. |
Big Mike says 'Relax' |
Michael Murray is his son in law. That would be awkward. Judging by news Michael Ashley is very very active. |
Fun fact
Michael Ashley buys Roko Health clubs |
Mike A should take the reigns again and sideline his brother in law |
30 month shareprice low today. No position ! |
Mike A sold the dream of £10 a share by October 25 to his employees for their share options. The last two such schemes did not deliver. He would lose a lot of credibility if it failed yet again. It's ok taking lower wages and minimum (statutory) rights if the bonuses come through. Not so good when they don't. Oct 25 - £10 TBC |
has this hit the bottom or more lows to come ... ? |
Big Mike's boohoo meeting Friday, when he gets on the BOD what will his first move be? |

His son in law may not get the £15 target share price bonus next year, but it will hit that by 2026 IMO. £600m profits and a 12x PE, could mean a £7.2bn market cap - which equates to over £15 a share ;) GLA. I never bet against a shrewd hustler. |
Bought in today. GLA. |
The cost savings may have gone from the team that produced the results announcement. As a document it is full of different fonts, copy and pastes, and misaligned tables. I would have been embarrassed to put out such a poorly proof read document. The CEO report has no line spacing and starts half way down a page, it's like a blob again using different spacing and font sizes. The income statement is split over 2 pages. It's amateur hour. No wonder share price has crashed. |
The values that Frasers built in the creation of Sports Direct just do not sit well with people that buy Mulberry, Gieves and Hawke's, etc. basically it feels a bit grubby. The history and investment in quality without compromising is not the history of Spirts Direct. It is a tough ruthless win at any cost successful beast. That said Nike, etc are on board with elevation. Mike Murray is more to their liking. Frasers will continue to grow and be successful while the two Mikes work well together. Beauty and the Beast. Acquisitions come thick and fast and the company adapts to its many poor buys. Most of Europe is still to be taken over. It's about how long Mike A keeps interested. |
Any views on this mornings news. |
The big profit growth over Christmas/New Year Sales will come from Fraser Plus.
How are the oversea stores are going to do, might be the breaking point or the stroke of genius.
Mulberry stake going slowly down the pan - I think he paid around £1.5o before buying more in the last raise.
AO looks good and as for ASOS and BOO Christmas will be crunch time one way or another.
Mike always said expect a roller coaster ride.
I dont like the debt size increase, and they can only cut stocks by a limited amount, and the benefits showed up more in these accounts than they will in the next set. |
Wow will Big Mike comment on the situation? |
Sales down, debt up and a 2 year low this morning ! Thankfully no position yet ! |
Trading at around 11 times earning that are falling with headwinds . 6.00 to 6.80 about right ?? Or will Xmas sales supprise ??? |
While Mike A is around they will be fine. The rest of the crew are not so talented. £10 a share promised to employees by October 25 looking very challenging. It would be the third incentive scheme to miss.Still Mike M and crew options are at £15. |
Profit downgrade ? Is it priced in ?Eps looks lower . |
FTSE 100 relegated - trackers sold - bound to pop tomorrow! |
