Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification in accordance
with Sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985 that Deutsche Bank AG and its
subsidiary companies (together "Deutsche Bank") has a notifiable interest in
39,753,016 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in Chloride, being 16.01% of the issued
ordinary share capital of Chloride.

The previous position notified by Deutsche Bank was on 25 September 2003, when
an interest in 37,896,276 (15.27%) Chloride ordinary shares was disclosed.
