Posted at 20/1/2014 16:43 by dope007 Moved my account out of XCAP in December. Issuing shares for working capital, caused me to make that decision and move out, especially after they got fined earlier on for not protecting client funds |
Posted at 20/1/2014 12:59 by 11023154 Wealth management in India with Chola is no doubt a potentially lucrative deal. I think if they can secure a few more deal abroad then earnings should dramatically improve. I'm not currently invested but am looking very long term to see how xcap move in this new market. I can see great growth here hopefully with Chola being the platform.Ben |
Posted at 08/11/2011 09:12 by lucky_punter This year has seen junior gold mining stocks take a battering, but opportunities abound for investors keen on gold miners if they set their sights on Central Asia. So says broker XCAP Securities, which released a note on the sector this morning.Preproduction gold miners operating in the region appear to be "conspicuously undervalued" in comparison to African miners, said XCAP, pointing out that share prices put the enterprise value for Central Asian miners at US$11 per ounce compared with US$53 per ounce for their African counterparts. |
Posted at 20/9/2011 17:46 by equitydealer007 IMVHO......its probs because small cap firms have realised that when raising funds via XCAP whom receive a discount to the market, following which they then dump them in the market thus sending the share price into a downward death spiral! just an opinion, but I have seen them do it and its not pretty! Not good for shareholders and certainly not good for the company raising funds. imo they might be getting the cold shoulder now due to past actions???? who knows until they say something? all guess work! |
Posted at 25/3/2011 15:09 by andrbea XCAP tie-ups offer eastern promise25th March 2011 XCAP Securities has has formed a strategic alliance with firms in the Middle and Far East. The firm has linked up with GS Wealth (based in Singapore and Malaysia) and ECS (based in Hong Kong and Dubai) to offer portfolio management services for expat clients. XCAP will offer the services from its Wilmslow office, from which it will also be running three offshore funds. XCAP is targeting clients with a portfolio of more than £100,000, but argued that this was more inclusive than many rivals whose typical threshold was £1m. James Igoe, portfolio manager at XCAP Securities, said: "We have spent a considerable amount of time in the Far and Middle East and have now entered into a formal alliance with GS Wealth and ECS. "This initiative has really taken off and it has significant potential moving forward." XCAP Securities' finance director Mike Frame said: "As a UK-listed Investment bank we have the strength in depth to compete on a level playing field. "However, we offer access to our stockbroking service at a lower minimum threshold than our multinational competitors in these regions. That's our unique selling point." |

One of XCAP's nominee clients has sold part of their holding in Porta Communications PLC. It doesn't really amount to anything significant.
