18/1/2005 18:25 | Excellent results - time to top up? | jangaman
16/1/2005 16:12 | Interim results Tuesday 18 Jan, hope they're good. | purple boots
12/1/2005 18:34 | Think we may see this go through £2 very soon | jangaman
11/1/2005 11:50 | Another nice fat contract for Vega.... www.uk-wire.com/cgi- | gd150772
07/1/2005 16:23 | I was starting to get a little bit cautious over the last few days, until I had a good look at the graph... It still seems to be repeating last years chart action, even mimicking the fall over new year. If it keeps following last year's lead we should see New Year + 30 = 220 by results time...and then the results which broad hints have suggested will be very good. Turn around tomorrow I think. | suicidestu
29/12/2004 20:00 | getting close to that £2 barrier :-) | jangaman
21/12/2004 13:35 | Suicidestu It often takes a tip for the herds to find the quality that us long term holders already know we have with VEG. Veg is quite illiquid. So if they are tipped in any shape or form in the forthcoming tipping season then the re-rating will take place PDQ.. In any case with the recent contract announcement VEGA did say there would be more announcements in January, which should take us through the 200p barrier pre results and onwards and upwards to 250p Post. Good luck all GD | gd150772
21/12/2004 09:28 | Less than 1 month until results now. Has anybody got an opinion as to whether the expected re-rating will happen straight after xmas, or after the results on Jan 18th? Personally the way the markets usually go these days, I am expecting a push through 200 immediately after xmas. | suicidestu
14/12/2004 16:22 | vega is also bidding for share in £1bn galileo contract - I think with Thales and EADS. Sunday Times also reported coming announcement of Eurofighter contract for UK from BAe this week. Vega provides training simulators. | weatherman
14/12/2004 09:32 | A nice little reminder to the market on the run in to the results in January! | suicidestu
14/12/2004 09:29 | RNS Number:3572G Vega Group PLC 14 December 2004 For Immediate Release 14 December 2004 VEGA selected for Euro70 million frame contract VEGA Group PLC ("VEGA"), the consulting and technology services company, is one of four companies to have been awarded a three year competitive frame contract, with a planned two year extension, for the European Space Agency ("ESA"). The frame contracts have an estimated total value of Euro70 million, over the five year period. The contracts are to provide development and maintenance of Ground Data Systems Software at the European Space Operations Centre ("ESOC") in Darmstadt, Germany. VEGA, which now includes Anite Systems GmbH, was awarded a frame contract because of the long established relationship of the two companies with ESOC, and their specialist capabilities which cover all applicable mission data systems (Mission Control, Simulations and Ground Station Systems Software). Each of the four companies will be requested to bid competitively for work packages identified under the frame contracts, which are expected to be signed in January 2005. Phil Cartmell, VEGA Chief Executive said: "With the integration of Anite Systems, VEGA now has over 300 highly experienced space staff. Together, we have developed and supported mission control systems for over 50 spacecraft, and have developed over 20 simulation systems for ESA missions. We are delighted to be chosen for this frame contract, and we look forward to extending our relationship with both ESOC and ESA." 02/12/2004 13:43 | From Todays Shares Mag Vega Group (VEG) 174.5p BUY Software consultants on the road to recovery. Full yr results back in July revealed good progress, with VEG moving into profitabilty and reinstating its dividend. With a strong forward order book prospects look to be on the way up and the current market cap of 30 million should have room for improvement. A trading update in October reported a strong first half performance and interim results for the six months to 31 Oct are due to be announced on 18 Jan. The shares are approaching the strong 190p resistance area which has been in place since the end of 2001. If this breaks on further good news - which looks promising based on the groups turnaround - the next target will be the last high at 260p. Action required: Buy Vega spread bet with target of 210p. Set stop loss at 155p. Time target 8 weeks. | gd150772
02/12/2004 12:11 | Yet more evidence of the institutions taking a closer look... | gd150772
26/11/2004 20:41 | Looking at the chart this share won't take too long to test the previous high of 200p. | jfmullins
25/11/2004 12:27 | Thanks for that gd. We are certainly starting flying now. Re-rating in progress. My faith has been restored after painful months of waiting for the inevitable. | suicidestu
25/11/2004 12:07 | Looks like a new institution has added Vega to it's portfolio too.. | gd150772
25/11/2004 09:39 | Given a nice write up in shares magasine - Play Of The Week Shares Summary 1. Back on the growth path after 3 year turnaraound 2. Most of its work is on government-funded projects 3. Acquisitions will supplement strong organic growth. Implied earnings of 11.29p and 13.7p (17% + 22%) for 2005/6 One final mention is that dividends have also been resumed and they should double this year.. Sorry guys if you want more info then you'll have to buy a copy. Cheers GD | gd150772
22/11/2004 15:20 | pb - yes I kind of felt like I was playing God! New thread seemed to miraculously trigger the latest rise! gd - I came up with a figure of 280p peak during 2005 (using slightly different mathematics - and a psychological assessment of interest/momentum of investors ;)), and maybe a little less at the end of the year. This is based on no 'big' news, which is I think a possibility. Has anyone on here got time do some research and post up their findings - in terms of future deals to watch out for? I am a bit tied up with the day job at the moment unfortunately. | suicidestu
19/11/2004 09:17 | Looks like we're heading back to 170p territory and then back up to the 200p PDQ.. I remember the VEGA of old trading on 25 x prospective earnings which gives me a target price for 2005 of 25 x 14.41p = 360p. Now even if you want to be conservative and say 18 x p/pe this gives me a figure of @ 260p.. So i'll be conservative then and say my price target for 2005 is 260p. Anybody else with a target price for 2005? GD | gd150772
18/11/2004 18:02 | suicidestu, thanks for starting this new thread and getting the charts posted, looks like the timimg is spot on. | purple boots
18/11/2004 15:30 | These are worth at least a psr of 1 would take them to 240p imo. | weatherman
17/11/2004 10:23 | Purple et al - I have created a new thread with basic charts, can anyone come up with a bit more spiel to put in the header/introduction. I haven't the time to come up with anything suitable. Cheers stu | suicidestu
17/11/2004 09:50 | Vega are a much neglected stock over recent months for no fundamental reason. Results in January are expected to be good, but this expectation is not yet built into the price. The big question is - will we see the November to January rise - which we saw last year - repeating itself? | suicidestu
16/11/2004 20:47 | is anyone able to post a chart into the header? this ususally helps raise awareness. | purple boots |
