THE UK BALANCED PROPERTY TRUST LIMITED

RESULT OF EGM

The UK Balanced Property Trust Limited (the "Company") refers to the circular
(the "Circular") published by the Company on 25 July 2007 in connection with the
proposed sale (the "Sale") of the Company's subsidiaries.  The Circular convened
an extraordinary general meeting held earlier today at which a resolution was
put to shareholders to approve the proposed Sale. The Company is pleased to
announce that shareholders passed the ordinary resolution to approve the
proposed Sale.  It is expected that the Sale will complete on 21 August 2007.
As set out in the Circular, the Company intends to publish a further circular in
mid-September to convene a meeting to approve the winding up of the Company.
