    TRIO FINANCE LIMITED                              

                           ("TRIO" or the "Company")                           

                            RESULT OF TENDER OFFER                             

16 December 2008

Following approval of the Tender Offer at the Extraordinary General Meeting on
15 December 2008, 7,777,998 Shares (representing approximately 97.2% of the
issued share capital of the Company) will be repurchased by the Company at a
cost of approximately US$43.6million. All Shares repurchased pursuant to the
Tender Offer will be cancelled. Following such cancellation, the number of
Shares in the Company in issue is expected to be 222,002.

Full details of the Tender Offer to purchase up to 7,999,998 Shares in the
Company were set out in the Circular to shareholders dated 17 November 2008.
Definitions used in the Circular dated 17 November 2008 apply in this
announcement unless the context otherwise requires.
