24/10/2002 16:47 | If we buy enough, it'll be back at 70p... | tsh
24/10/2002 15:11 | Keep buying chaps - the price is going up.................. | logica2me
24/10/2002 13:34 | Hmm, can't see the banks foreclosing on this one. I'm a member & the gyms are still packed out. With new sites being developed, could lead to future growth. Can anyone exlain the decline over the last couple of years? | dr rogers
24/10/2002 13:33 | In fact, I'm so confident I've bought 15 shares - LOL ! | logica2me
24/10/2002 13:32 | Yep - agree with double6 | logica2me
24/10/2002 13:32 | Double, I know but they are not going to say anything else are they ;0) I agree with you both if they do pull it off its a good price to get in at, however this sector is struggling to retain punters and there is much competition. Each to their own, good luck to you | pictureframe
24/10/2002 13:28 | But directors are confident of agreement with banks - definite short term buy | double6
24/10/2002 13:23 | Price moving up on every buy - expect 3p by close of trade | double6
24/10/2002 13:22 | Logica , agreed but breach of banking Covenants makes this VERY risky. No further funding and its goodnight vienna ! | pictureframe
24/10/2002 13:15 | Whole company only valued at £250k - less than the price of my house - BUY! | logica2me
20/10/2002 13:47 | I would be very tempted to put an offer in to buy the company at this rate before they go into liquidation. New management could put this right. | red army
20/10/2002 10:56 | We still haven't seen the results to April 2002. If they are not released in next 10 days, don't the shares get suspended? | laf
30/9/2002 14:06 | Now 5 months since the end of their year. They put out what was effectively a holding statement on 19th August saying that year end results were expected to be in line with market expectations. They also included that the start of H1 for the current year had not been as good as the Board had expected. I suspect that many a Board have found that in the current climate! Having said that, I had believed for some time that the Topnotch Board had their rose-tinted specs on with regard to the growth they were forecasting. With 16.307m shares in issue at mid of 14.5p, this gives market cap of 2.37m At year end in 2001 they had 14.3m in fixed assets, and market cap at that time was 11.2m. Turnover was 9.1m, admittedly with only 0.03m of profit. With the new clubs added this year, this has presumably increased the fixed assets, although they have probably taken further finance to pay for some of this investment. Bottom line in my book is that this is very undervalued at the current price despite the recent statement. I find the delay in publishing the results VERY FISHY. | zedder
10/8/2002 23:12 | I know that formally AIM companies have 6 months to get their results out, but I still don't see why THC are taking so long about theirs. Still not even an announcement about a date. After my most recent look at their website, it appears they are up to 20 clubs now. See the following for a listing and links to each of them: | zedder
05/8/2002 01:17 | Not into these, but still not seen any results. Not prepared to punt now, but watching and maybe waiting. | batkins
25/7/2002 18:38 | IM sure they will do very well trying to revitalise the many poor investors back to full fitness and good health, my oh my !!a health club to the rescue and for all the bombed out investors. | costa
19/7/2002 20:38 | Final try before I give up. Anyone been into a Topnotch Health Club recently? If so, impressions of it please. Good, bad or indifferent. | zedder
19/7/2002 15:53 | I think I started this thread off too early in the day. Anyone reading it now probably hasn't been near a Health Club in their life! | zedder
19/7/2002 14:50 | I must be a gambler as well then. I've put about 3k into the market in the last couple of days. Admittedly none gone into THC, but then they constitute about 15% of my portfolio already. The Bull Market may not start anytime soon, but one day start it will. No point missing the first 10% of this while you sit around deciding if it's for real or not! | zedder
19/7/2002 14:44 | don't be silly. this is NOT the time to buy anything, unless you are a gambler like me. | lastmanstanding
19/7/2002 14:37 | I've been into these for over a year now. To date, not one of my best investments. Been waiting on the prelims to 30th April 2002. Came out on 3rd July in 2001. Not even an announcement as to when they are due this year. Something happening in the background maybe? Company finalising this to announce at same time as results? Whether or not my speculation is correct, I still think this is potentially a worthwhile investment. Link above will get you to some good info. Certainly appears company is now valued significantly below its property, even with the debt it took on to buy some of these. If property has gone up significantly over the last 2 years, even if the Health-Clubs do not work out, presumably the sale of the assets should they decide to give up, should produce far more than the current share price. If the Health-Clubs work out well, then who knows where this will be in 2 years time. Believe they are up to about 19 clubs now. Anyone been in a Topnotch Health Club at all. Thoughts/views on these clubs would be appreciated. | zedder
31/8/2001 22:51 | Anyone interested in this??? Growth forecasts looked interesting even before the recent acquisition. | peter shone
15/2/2001 16:20 | There was a single buy of two million shares that sent the price up 13%. Time will tell who the buyer is but at least the mms cant have a surplus of shares now so the price should rise again soon (IMHO). Anyone any ideas who the buyer might be? | paulhooky
13/2/2001 14:30 | Is there a bidder looming for Topnotch? or just further speculation surrounding Fit Stop's bid for Lady in Leisure. | reetus
13/11/2000 12:17 | Check out the statement they released - it will rise some on Monday, but then all the smart money who got in on Friday morning (ie everyone on this thread) will leave. I left on Friday and got in SAW. Kev | kevin prescott |
