i think the for the business to achieve cost savings and cost leadership it has to merge at an international level. The company can only deliver greater returns to shareholders if it derives cost saving by absorbing competitors.

Onlyone storm, This is just to keep you company. I think this is a fine company with good solid potential and practically zero chance of losing you money. With these views I am about to buy a few for the short term, medium term or long term depending on its progress and my wife's inside purse. Happy investing MW

IS ANYONE ELSE A HOLDER??????????

Here is AGM Statement:-

8 May 2006

TDG plc
AGM Statement

Speaking at today's Annual General Meeting, Charles Mackay, Chairman of TDG plc,
one of Europe's major supply chain management and logistics companies,
commented:

"Trading so far this year has been in line with the expectations set out at the
preliminary results. The first half of 2006 will reflect last year's retail
contract terminations and the phasing of new business implementations, both of
which have been previously announced.

The integration of Mond, the Belgium Chemicals company acquired at the beginning
of March, is progressing well and we are pleased that it has subsequently gained
further business.

We are encouraged by the contracts renewed in this year, which have already
exceeded those achieved in 2005 as a whole. In addition new business wins to
date combined with a strong pipeline confirm our view that net business wins
will be significantly better than last year.

Our expectations for the full year remain unchanged."

It seems that TDG are peddling hard to stand still and the share price reflects the ongoing dilemma.

"However, as
announced in December 2005, with renewal rates in UK Contract Logistics being
affected by rationalisation in the retail sector net wins were significantly
lower than normal which will affect the Group's performance in the current
year."

It looks like 2006 will not see them out of the woods with the contract losses being replaced by acquisitions for which they may or may not overpay.

Ongoing pension deficit of £40mill.

Be interesting to see if the new finance director makes any changes.

Looks like a hold to me but not yet a buy despite a yield of over 6%,
