Anyone any comments about The Times' piece suggesting that TQN had actually sold its holding in MXP in the past couple of weeks? If TQN held 1.2% of MXP they wouldn't need to notify any increase or decrease of their holding.
Can't find any RNSs on the subject either.

top of the risers at the moment but from such a low price thats not saying much.

the investment in mxp looks like a very good deal and worth almost as much as current market cap( till todays rise to 3.3 m)

Just going through what I thoughht were dead ducks in my portfolio when I see increase in this share.

Anyone any ideas why this is increasing so much. No statements on RNS. Is it the fact that they own some MXP shares?

Pomp, they have over 3m shares in MXP which they bought at around 15p and as that has just hit 70p and people talking about £1.20 before Xmas and even more, that investment is worth around the £2m mark alone.

hardly know anything, i bought 100k at around this price as a punt quite a while ago when they were quicktrack and the business had failed and they were a shell!!

Its such a measly amount I cant be bothered to spend much time on it!!

3johnny - no one knows we're here......it normally takes a friendly tip on watshot or such like to get things moving....or failing that, an interim statement flagging up the holding again. closely watching incase it starts to move.

The broker for the Independent gives a short term target for MXP of 65p. Even at todays price of 42p, this is worth £1.25m alone. Why is there no movement in the sp? This i think has gotta move forward as MXP rises.

The unlisted investments consist of 3,333,333 Ordinary shares in Max Petroleum (MXP) plc, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom (which post listing is now worth approx £1.1m). Any ideas why the company's share price hasnt moved up?

The only comment of note appears to the purchase of a minority share in a company that intends to carry exploration for oil and gas in Kazakhstan. Any other items that people should note?
